I recently gave birth to my first child. The midwives in the birthing suite were fantastic. The maternity ward however was severely understaffed. Some of the nurses were unfriendly and patronising, I felt very uncomfortable with them. The food was poorly made and small portions - post partum ladies trying to breastfeed need lots of food.

I had to return within a few days because my baby needed to go into special care, and I found the care to be inconsistent and the nurses were overbearing and kept trying to change breastfeeding schedules every shift. I didn't know which way was up, which was unneeded pressure when I was trying to concentrate on my baby's health.

My obstetrician delivers at NPH so I will have to return, but I'm not looking forward to the maternity ward experience.

John quoted for me in 2010, but at the time we decided not to go ahead (planned to renovate and seemed silly to install gas prior to this) however, renovation plans were pushed back and to have a warm house through winter (and lower electricity bills) we decided to go ahead in 2011. John still had the quotation details, and was able to re-quote without coming out to the house.

I had other companies provide quotes to compare prices, but John's was by far the most reasonable (by more than $300) and his employees were able to preform the service within the week!

The tradies who worked on our house were quick, professional, polite and easy-going. Would happily and highly recommend John Phillips Plumbing and his employees to all!

I'm very picky about my hair, and Sekt is the only place I trust. Great staff, excellent stylists and fabulous head massages - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My family have always had pets, and as we moved around alot, they went to many Vets. In the 10+ years we've lived in Maitland, my family found Maitland Vet Hospital to be the best in terms of quality service and value for money. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I now have my own pets, and have been through vaccinations, puppy school, and castrating etc with them, and I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Great service, very happy to recommend.
