Passing by and saw the road signs for oysters and prawns...Got oysters by the dozen for a better price! Just had to drive 300m out of the way in dirt road but thought it was worth it for the local business. Sampled the oysters and was indeed fresh and kept well during the trip.

Had a stop over at the Cheese factory and thought we'd get ourselves some pies for lunch. Got the beef and spud pies and found it sooo good! The pies were freshly baked and was really yummy. Their pastry was also a good deal which was a great treat after our wandering around country towns.

went on a road trip to the South Coast NSW and stopped over for a dinner meal. As half of the town's eating places seem to be closed for the holidays, found this Asian restaurant catering Vietnamese. Thai and Chinese food fronting the department store. Had a rejuvenating Tom Yum tofu soup, delicious chicken satay skewers and a Panang curry beef dish. We had a pleasantly filling meal. The experience could have been better if the waiting time for serving the mains and bill did not take a while. .. they also had phone orders being picked up. Unfortunately, there is only 1 waiting staff working with the receptionist/restaurant manager which did not help especially during the 5-9pm operating hours.

Had a friend for an early catch up in the city on a Sunday. We could not find an open coffee place till we walked over the Canberra Center. We had a great cake cup of coffee and and hot chocolate together with a moist cake which was good! The experience was pretty good and their early bird attitude certainly wins them the business.

I was looking for freshwater fish and mackerel for a particular dish. I was going to Belconnen and saw FishCO Downunder shop.It was amazing to get fresh seafood there and the and products are good, shop well looked after and staff were attentive. I got my fish and other seafood which was good value and great savings for the prevailing prices in the regular supermarkets.

Looking for mulching and garden needs and went back to this big center where we got previously our mulch 4-5 years back. The company driver delivered our ordered mulch within 24 hours and was kind enough to accommodate our request to put the pile in a convenient area rather than the nature strip which made our work easier.

Had to get them to assess and repair slight damage to our car. The place was well set up with a customer service reception, lounge and waiting area with tv and water for your convenience.The assessor was very efficient and prompt booking was arranged.

I tried them to give me a hair set for our renewal of marriage vows and did a great job. I go there whenever I am in need of a good hairdo/style. They have been in their location for > 10 years and have done a good service every time.

I was looking for chicken wings for the weekend barbecue in the neighborhood. Noticed they had good value specials on chicken and got them for a great bargain! Their selection of meats are of good quality and their shop always neat and tidy. Best of all, they are conveniently located near the supermarkets - do all shopping in one roof.

Had some leaking underneath kitchen sink which could be from hose in the dishwasher. Talked over the phone for booking and got a next day sked which was very efficient. learned that the dishwasher inlet hose needed replacement and after testing, job was done!
