This review is for Harvey Norman PhotoCentre Online, Brookvale NSW

I ordered some Christmas ornaments with photos of family members printed onto them from Harvey Norman PhotoCentre online. I was very disappointed with one of the four ornaments I ordered. My original photograph probably wasn't good enough quality for the ornament, but the printed result was definitely more washed out - the person's face was basically white with some yellow shadows on it. I contacted Harvey Norman about my dissatisfaction with the end product, but was basically told that I was in the wrong (for using that photograph) and there was nothing they could do about it. I'm spreading the word that this is how you'll be treated if you are not satisfied with one of their photo products. I would be extremely hesitant to order, for example, a large printed canvas: because you may outlay a lot of money for a product you are not satisfied with. Luckily, I ordered the ornaments when they were on sale, and they are not that expensive to begin with.

Lincraft don't tend to have the best prices, but getting them to pricematch a product and beat that price by 15% was extremely easy! I recommend searching around for physical stores which have websites to check the prices on, and ultimately buying from Lincraft if you are looking for the most affordable price. (of course this doesn't support smaller independent stores, so keep that in mind)
The staff in the Preston store were friendly and helpful even though it was extremely busy there when I went.

This review is for EFM Health Clubs, Parkville VIC

I had a bad experience with the EFM club in North Melbourne.

I purchased an online voucher to use the club for 1 month. I was supposed to get access for one month, a fitness assessment, personalised workout plan and nutrition guide. I didn't get the personalised workout plan and nutrition guide.
Because of my personal circumstances (i.e. not able financially to join the month after using the voucher), and because I did not pay a lot for the voucher, I was treated differently from the 'regular' customers.
I was told that I was welcome to use the machines, and that I would be told if i was doing an exercise incorrectly, but that I wouldn't be able to have the same attention as their 'regular' customers. Because I lived close-by, I was not even shown where the toilets were, told that I would 'probably use my own anyway'. While other people were given written instructions on their workout cards, I was just left to do my own thing. I didn't even have a card to record any of what I was doing or was supposed to do.

So, I do not have a good impression of this business and would not recommend it to anyone. The other people there did seem happy. Perhaps if you fork out the $$$ you won't get the second-rate treatment I got.

I love House of Salad! Try their American Hot pizza, yum.

Ok, so it's not just salad, it's pizza! I dined there a long time ago, before they renovated/expanded, so I can't comment too much on dining in. But my parents and/or I get take away from there occasionally and we love it. My mum does order extra onions on her vegetarian pizza, though. If you have an entertainment book, they may still have a voucher in there too. Try it out!

Although the food was very nice, the service left a lot to be desired. After popping our champagne, we began to order and were informed that there was a minimum $20 per person spend. We were also informed that if we got one main meal, we'd 'barely get a spoonful each', and so we needed to order one main and one entree per person.
To satisfy the minimum spend, we requested for them to calculate our costs after ordering, so that we could accordingly spend more if needed. They refused to do this. We requested a calculator, and they came back with a piece of paper and a pen. Then he proceeded to take the paper back (bar one page) so that he could actually take our order!!!
Our soft drinks arrived, and were flat. As I said the food was very nice, however each main could easily satisfy two people, especially if an entree was ordered to share, & rice was needed for the dish. The meal sizes were similar to most Indian restaurants. So, in the end we ordered WAY too much food and overspent our $20 minimum. Did we want dessert - no thanks!
