This place is a little treasure. The korean baked goods are real value for money. Their 6 pack 'morning rolls' at $2.50 are great for school lunches. Their cakes are light, not too creamy and a good variety with various sizes ( Black forest, Strawberry, Mocha, Combination, Chocolate). The owner at this store is very nice, great customer service and samples for you to try. Cakes come with complimentary chocolate plaques and candles. Range from savoury and sweat breads, pound cakes, dessert cakes, profiteroles ect.
Atmosphere is okay, decor is a bit dated. Food is generally good portions. The pizza's are a good choice and salad's are the non-iceberg lettuce type. Calamari are delish, Wagyu burger is average. Schnitzel is a large portion
Approximate cost: $18
PROS: good atmosphere, and okay service. Close to public transport.
CONS: quantity and quality of the food is very average. Ordered a pizza and it was pretty much made on a pita bread from the supermarket. Friends ordered pasta, which wasn't really up to scratch for a restaurant. ( not much meat, generic pasta, nothing special)
Approximate cost: $18
Great if you're looking for cheap eats. Service is fast after you order. Good variety of hawker style foods. Always busy here with hustle and bustle. Easy dinner out. Service is average.
Approximate cost: $10
Best introductory offer around. $19 for 10 days unlimited classes. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and explain everything when you first sign up. Place is hygienic and has showers and lockers free for use. Nicely situated near public transport ( train station and buses) and also a shopping center. You will feel great after a class, its invigorating.
The place to buy your sushi if you want value for money. Handrolls are cheaper and larger than other sushi stores in the shopping center. Also have a wide selection of made to order noodles. Great teriyaki skewers and vegetable pancakes and fast service!
Always the best prices for fresh fruit an veg. Better prices than the major supermarkets. Great variety, and also regular cheap sale fruit and veg. Ample staffing so you won't be waiting for a long time. Easy access since its along the walkway, and well organized local business.
BEST charcoal chicken. Everything is fresh, cooked to order generally and chips are the crisp and chicken salted. Pricing is very appropriate and if you get a meal, you'll be very satisfied, even the big boys. Frequented by students, local tradies and office workers. This place is tidy, professional, the owner runs the store and is really enthusiastic and up for a chat. Daily newspapers available.
Must go!
A real family run bussiness with a genuine feeling of customer service. Staff are attentive, quick to help if the queue gets any longer than 2 people. GREAT GREAT prices that almost always beat the major supermarkets, and they're right to them too. Great selection of common fruit and veg, and also a small section dedicated to common asian groceries.
Great small business for takeaway pizza. Tasty, quality and generous with toppings. Also has a Monday Tuesday special if I remember correctly. They also do things on the side such as ribs, pasta and gelati. Good service and gets things done on time and no fuss.
