I recently attended the Beauty Lounge for an eyebrow shape and was pleased with the service and results. The therapist is very professional and the premises are bright and tidy. The environment in the therapy room is extremely calming and the therapists gentle demeanor and approach complements this vibe. I attended on this occasion to take advantage of a promotional discount and I have to say that the customer service was fantastic, I asked a million questions which were all happily answered. I definitely intend to return to this salon.

I had no driving experience and I was extremely nervous when I had my first lesson with Master L, but I soon realised that I was in very experienced hands and I got calmer and more confident with every lesson. I did all my required 50 hours with them and passed the provisional license test no worries. Ali the instructor is committed to his job and uses his own highly effective techniques. He is also very patient and is always willing to explain things until you understand, and always goes out of his way to ensure he is communicating effectively. He always gave me very honest evaluations of how my driving was progressing and set realistic targets for me, which was important for me because I was initially very skeptical of driving instructors taking advantage. His car is equipt with a second brake, it is always in good condition and is a great car to learn on. His rates are very compditive and package deals are available.

I held a birthday party for around twelve people here, in one of their large rooms. We fit in the room quite comfortably and it was nice, clean, private and the furniture was pretty modern. The best thing about this place is that they allow BYO, they are pretty responsible about it though, they confiscated half of ours and held onto it because they felt it was excessive. The range of english songs is good though we had a little difficulty working the system at one point and the staff aren't great communicators. Their prices are the most reasonable of all th karaoke bars in the city.

I held my birthday party here and everyone had an excellent time. Every Friday & Saturday night this place goes off, they go out of their way to entertain, with a great MC & host, dancers & cocktails a'flowin, it's a great way to celebrate any occasion. Unfortunately, the entertainment is far better than the food, maybe it was just the menu I selected, (you get a choice of around 8 mezzes from a good selection of Mediterranean dishes) but aside from entree of fresh bread & dips, it's very ordinary. The seafood isn't fresh and it all seemed to be done in the same sauce, so it was very repetitive & pretty bland. The cocktails were lovely and their cocktail list is very good. Especially good for hens & girl's nights out as they have male dancers on a Saturday night.

I needed a blow-dry, so I approached a number of salons for quotes and ended up returning to Shiny Star because they were the cheapest. The salon didn't look like much, the facilities are very basic and there's barely space for the basin, but I figured they couldn't go wrong on a blow-dry. I showed the manager my hair so he was fully aware of the length and he quoted me $30. The female stylist did a satisfactory job on my hair, the end result wasn't the best but it was certainly better than I could've done myself. She finished up and I proceeded to pay the manager who quoted me, but just as I was pulling $30 from my purse he suddenly decides it's $35. I reminded him that he quoted me $30 just half an hour prior, and he arrogantly replied that my hair was very long, I couldn't be bothered arguing further so I just paid him the extra money and left.

I took my sister to Urban Steel to get her bellybutton pierced as a birthday gift. I found the staff to be very professional and the service was great. The piercer took time to consult us and gave us all the necessary information. They seem to be very committed to health and safety and the premises are very clean and sanitary. Their prices set them apart from all the other piercing studios in the area, they sometimes run promotions where all piercings are only $60, and student discounts are also available.

I've purchased two celebration cakes fairly recently, as well as numerous pastries and Italian sweet treats over the years. For my birthday this year we ordered a chocolate mud cake, it was beautifully presented and deliciously decadent. I went back to get my nan a birthday cake a few months later, she chose a traditional Italian 'semi-freddo', it was also exquisitely decorated, topped with a huge chocolate rose. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, the size I get is aroud $28, but various sizes are available. They also personalise the cake free of charge. Pre-ordering of celebration cakes is recommended to ensure availability. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors if you're after a light lunch, morning or afternoon tea, and the staff are very friendly.

Ive been eating at Pad Thai (aka Five Dollar Thai) for years because they make fast, fresh food at unbelievable prices. The range of dishes on offer isn't huge but you do get a choice of chicken, beef, seafood or prawns (small surcharge for seafood), and a serving of steamed rice or a can of drink will only set you back a dollar. They use fresh vegetables in all their stir-fries and the chicken used is breast fillet. Their meals are always tasty and the serving sizes are adequate but I do have to warn, they don't use a great deal of meat in their dishes. The staff are friendly, the service is good and the premises are clean. It can get very busy so it's probably wise to phone in your order and avoid the queue. Tables are available for dine-in customers but space is limited.

The freshest grilled seafood made to order. It is always busy at lunch times so be prepared for a slight wait, but it is well worth it because it is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the mixed grill, its about $14 and is pretty generous.
