This review is for Telstra, Melbourne VIC

I have been with Telstra as a mobile customer for years now, both for my small business and now as a private customer for years too. Your service just continues to get even more shocking as the years go on. I went into a Telstra store and wanted to upgrade my own phone to a new iPhone 6S Plus to a plan that would put $2500 in Telstra's pockets - which yes, in the long term is no biggie to a massive monopoly like Telstra with the best coverage - they ultimately have you over a barrel there. However - I was NOT expecting to be told I had to wait at LEAST an HOUR to speak with a sales rep in store!! Poor form, Telstra. So I ended up completing an order online - everything SEEMED to go smoothly. Until I got my phone. I put on my $90 spigen glass screen protector and protection case and was excited to get started! My SIM didn't work. Why not? I spent nearly 4 hours on the phone with Telstra that night trying to get it sorted. The problem? I had to pay $300 upfront, as I changed from my husband's name into my own name but either way we were established customers for years. Did ANYONE tell me this fee was necessary BEFORE my phone came or during the sales process, which I had a rep helping the the whole way on chat through the process to make sure everything went smoothly? NO! Not ONE mention of a $300 charge. Then they tell me, Well, It's $300 or we will send you a return bag, ma'am!!! What could I do? I am in a new building area in the country where reception with any other telco is rubbish. Even Telstra gets 2 bars only. What was I to do? Had no choice but to pay the $300 out of our family christmas money. Had I known this, I would have ordered my phone AFTER Christmas! Anyway - it took me absolutely CRACKING it with a service rep and her escalating it to a manager to get my $300 refunded. Initially all I asked for was a credit on my account for all the hours and callbacks I had to endure over telstra's mess up. They flat out refused. Then an hour later I got a call back telling me they realised it was their fault and my order was processed incorrectly because it was cancelled and put through again, with the fee but no one ever told me about it. Only when I called to see why my SIM wasn't activated, did I find out - and only have 2 hours on the phone with a rep! I got the $300 back, but I'll never get back that 6 hours of fighting, frustrating and disappointment from Telstra not wanting to accept responsibility for their screw up and compensate their LOYAL customer, despite all the years of bad experiences. I really with another Telco would catch up to Telstra so we have another option!

This review is for Cold Rock Ice-creamery, Geelong VIC

Delicious ice cream and you can choose your own toppings. It gets really expensive, even with just a couple of mix-ins - so it's a very occasional treat. We go maybe once every six months or so and sometimes they are out of my favourite toppings and or ice cream, which is very disappointing when you've been looking forward to a specific flavour and an occasional treat you don't get very often.

My family has been under the care of Dental Spa for years and we couldn't be happier with them. We've had everything from cleans, fillings, teeth extraction, root canals, crowns, xrays, whitening and kids checkups. We've been nothing but happy and the team is VERY patient with myself and my daughter, as we both have severe dental phobias - me in particular after a very bad experience that left me in lifetime chronic jaw pain. Dental Spa is slowly rebuilding my trust in the dental profession. The admin staff are always lovely and the hygienists are professional, gentle and provide honest feedback on your brushing technique and give tips on how to improve if you need it!

This review is for Tasty Rooster Char Grilled Chicken, Highton VIC

We have been going to Tasty Rooster for at least 8 years. The owners, a husband and wife team have been there from the start and are always very friendly and accommodating. They even pick out the cucumbers from my picky husband's greek salad and they know our order by heart, even if we haven't come in for a couple months. Their chicken is always moist and their chips and chicken salt are perfection. I've never had better chips in my life. It's like a salty carbohydrate drug addiction. lol Their chickens are well seasoned with crispy skin and bean and greek salads are usually fresh and delicious. We can easily feed our family of 3 for around $25, which is a hard task in Australia!

This review is for Town & Country Pizza & Pasta, Waurn Ponds VIC

Best Pizza and Pasta I've had in Australia and I am a picky New Yorker! My family and i have been dining here for at least 10 years and we've yet to have a bad meal. Service is always excellent, newer shop is spacious, stylish and always busy. Their Macaroni and Cheese sauce on Gnocchi with chicken is to die for - mine and my 7 year old daughter's favourite dish by far but we still have a hard time deciding between pizza and pasta! Best carb overload around! Their gluten free pizzas are nice as far as GF goes and we have celiac friends who can eat them without getting "glutened" and sick, so they take care with prepping the GF food. The garlic pizza is divine and regular pizza bases are great too - with heaps of quality toppings. I have found that I actually prefer T&C pizza to the pizza from NY now!!

This review is for Lara Physiotherapy Health Network, Lara VIC

I have been going to Lara Physiotherapy for nearly 10 years and in that time, I have moved many times. It doesn't matter if it takes me an hour or 10 minutes to get to my appointments, Karen is the best physiotherapist I have encountered in the Geelong region, specifically if you have issues with TMJ dysfunction, headaches or chronic pain. As long as I am within driving distance, I will go to Lara Physiotherapy. The new Pilates gym & reformer equipment is fabulous - I gained strength, flexibility and progressed quickly using the equipment under the care of a qualified physiotherapist monitoring my progress and adjusting my program accordingly to suit my needs. I cannot recommend Lara Physiotherapy enough - the whole team is professional, friendly and provide excellent customer service.

Poor quality pizza, very little cheese on it. Never consistent. Poor service. We have decided to change pizza places, sadly as they are right around the corner but now go to Laverton. Would not recommend.

Best fish and chips I have ever had!! The flake is just amazing - they are consistently the best. The flake has never smelled or tasted fishy - is always moist, always nice and thick. They sell Melbourne Dim Sims too - can't go wrong!

This review is for Lakeview Bistro & Lounge, Point Cook VIC

We were so excited to try the Lakeview Bistro at Sanctuary Lakes but were sadly disappointed when we did. Our booking was at at 7pm. It took 45 minutes just to get drinks in a 75% empty bistro on a Saturday night and that was AFTER I had to go up and complain! When the drinks finally came - they only brought out half. The champagne one of us ordered took another 10 minutes to come out and once again, only after complaining.

We had 2 little ones with us and so they were getting VERY tired & cranky with no food. We ordered a bottle of wine & it came in glasses - waitress advised they don't offer bottles, even though it said so on the menu. A neighbouring table got a bottle a couple minutes later so my friend piped up about it and next thing you know, another waiter is coming out with a bottle of wine on the house, saying they found one "out the back".

There were only THREE main menu items to choose from for dinner, pretty sad. One of them was a chicken parmy!? The parmy was below average. The calamari was far from "salt and pepper" and wasn't as described on the menu. One of the wait staff spilled an alcoholic drink on my friend's dress and they didn't even offer to replace it or offer it for free for the inconvenience.

Needless to say, we will never go back unless we hear of a MAJOR improvement in service and food quality. We had such high hopes, too.

Seriously amazing burgers!! We have been here probably 20 times in a couple of years and they have the best burgers I have had in Australia. Their Lots of flavour burger is YUM. The owner is a proper chef and you can tell by their burgers. They are ALWAYS consistent in quality - it's by far one of our favourite places to eat. Their chicken strips for kids are REAL chicken tenderloins, coated in Panko crumbs and are always fresh and delicious - not the stodgy, processed, rubbish chicken nuggets you normally get at take away places. Keep up the great work, Burger Bar!!
