Service is very hit and miss. Even on quiet days you can still wait for a long time to get your eat in order, though take away is usually much quicker.
Nice range of meals on the menu, and nice to see a kids menu that isn't just made up of chips, nuggets and pizzas.
My main complaint would be people smoking in the court yard area. A big turn off to have smoke in your face when you are trying to eat.

Really good quality food. They have a wide range of premade sandwiches/rolls/wraps/bagettes, but are happy to make them up fresh if you want.
A nice selection of pie flavours and the cakes are pretty good too.

Favourite Flavours specialising in homemade Italian Gelato. They are seriously good and a big hit with anyone we take there.
There are some flavours that they have nearly all the time and then some that are seasonal like the Anzac gelato and the hot cross bun flavour!

As well as the gelato they also stock a variety of local produce and a range of teaTwo teas, so a good place to find food items that you can't find anywhere else in Bendigo.

Great art gallery and some really interesting exhibition through out the year.
They have a monthly Giggle Gallery aimed a pre school aged children that is both educational and fun.
There are also programs that run through the school holidays for both pre school and school aged children which are great value for money.

We had lunch here today and were very disappointed all round from lack of staff to lack of quality food.
We wanted to order two different daily specials, neither was available so we had to chose other menu items. Llittle else held much appeal so I decided on a chicken schnitzel sandwich, for $16 I would have expected something of a higher standard. Both the bread and the schnitzel were dry and I have had better quality for half the price from Mayfair Park Diner.
The kids pizza was a slab of 'dough' that was under cooked with a couple of pieces of bacon/ham thrown on it.
My pot of tea came complete with a tea bag, not a leaf in sight! Not sure of the point of a pot with a tea bag in it, why not just put the bag straight into the cup?
The only thing that really was a positive of the whole experience was the babycinos came with marshmellows and lollies.
Won't be returning again.

After being told how family friendly this place was, I went for lunch with a group of mums and their bubs. We were treated as an inconvenience and felt pushed to finish our lunch and get out so the business crowd could be tended to.
Thinking they may have been having an off day I decided to give the place another go and again felt the service was poor. We were left waiting for a long time to be served and again to pay our bill.
After that I never bothered to go back.

This used to be our local Vietnamese restaurant and we try to get back there anytime we are in Melbourne. The food is fresh and tasty, the menu extensive and the price very reasonable. Very accepting and welcoming of children and happy to accomodate groups with many children.

I love shopping here to find the things that I can't find elsewhere, like galangal, or I want something a bit different to try. Great variety of chai tea, and tea in general. Love the samples set out each day, a great way to try new things before you buy them.

This is our special occassion restaurant. The food and service is of a very high standard and the staff are knowledgeable about both the food and wine, and are happy to offer recommendations on both.
Dining here is a pure gastronomic joy.

The food and decore is pretty standard for a pub. The kids menu has your standard kids menu meals (chips & nuggets, fish & chips, mini pizza). The best thing is that while they are waiting for their intake of salt and fat they can entertain themelves in the kids play area, which is what makes this place worthwhile.
