I brought a 3KW solar system a number of years ago from Captain Green, very happy with the workmanship and quality of the installation.
Last year I purchased a 6.6kw system and had Captain Green install it. What a nightmare...
1. They punched holes in my roof to see where the cables were and didn't repair the damage.
2. The circuit breaker that Captain Green installed for the new solar array kept tripping out, seems that the circuit Breaker had a hot joint that caused it to overheat and melt part of the casing.
3. When I told them about the fault they wanted to charge $200.00 to come out and have a look (this repair should have been under warranty).
4. At first thy said I had agreed to fix the holes in my roof sarking insulation, I had not. I pressed the issue and they refused to fix it unless I paid them for a callout, $200.00. I eventually took Captain Green to the NSW Dept of Fair Trading and lodged a complaint. Captain Green eventually fixed all the issues, begrudgingly.
The original Captain Green was great, the current Captain Green was seems a bit shifty, poor workmanship and will try to weasel out of their warranty obligations.
