I joined when they upgraded the gym, it's got great equipment and great personal trainers, the facilities are fantastic, the rubber floor in the aerobic room is too hard and hurt my ankles, i prefer a sprung timber floor, i was disappointed that when they opened there were not any promotion goodies, like other gyms, not even a water bottle, their prices are very comparable to other gyms like Good life and Phoenix, i was most unhappy that you had to be a member of the Sharks club before you could join the gym, even as a casual, i felt that this was a way of building the Sharks club member base, not for your option, I attended mainly the aerobic classes joining 3 classes in a row, and apart from the step class, the other instructors did not give low options, in fact they ignored you, i did let 1 know i had bad knees and would like the low option and she didn't give me any, i joined the Sharks Fitness as they were close to where i live, but after 4 months decided they were not as good as my previous gym so i left and went back to my old gym and love it, it is good to look around, it gives you a better idea of what suits you and i have to say i was extremely disappointed with Sharks Fitness and would not recommend it to my friends, i have friends who work at the Sharks and they have also left the gym even tho they pay half price, so that tells you something.
