I was shopping in Marketplace the other day and, after walking past it at least dozens of times in the past, stopped to grab some lunch. I bought a California Roll and a Chicken and Avocado roll, and they were both delicious! Lovely fresh ingredients. Great sushi. The best I have had in Bendigo!

My daughter won a free photo shoot from this company, and when I saw the photos she received I was amazed! Such good pictures. Tanna is very clever.

I have had occasion to meet Tanna through my own business and she's just a lovely, lovely lady.

Conveniently located in the heart of Eaglehawk, this pharmacy is exactly what 'country town service' is all about. Friendly, helpful staff who go that extra mile to ensure you're happy with their service.

They have a good variety of all ancillary bits and pieces pharmacies generally stock, and their prices are competitive.

They also have a loyalty program, but I'm not a regular customer so I haven't joined it.

The Wickham is a gay icon in the Valley. Proudly a gay bar, the Wickham boasts awesome staff, well-priced drinks, a pokies room, live music, themed nights, as well as being sponsors for many of Brisbane's LGBTIQ events.

If you're a rainbow kinda person, it's a must visit when in Brizvegas. We have spent many a Sunday afternoon there with a beer and good mates.

We were lucky enough to secure a booking here for Chillout 2013 (google for further info), and are so glad we did!

If you love Retro, you'll love this place. It's a veritable retro museum! Just gorgeous.

This is an great company which organises product trials. Basically you apply to trial a product, and if you fit their criteria, the products are sent to you free of charge in return for reviewing them and engaging in conversations about the trial you are involved in.

It's a great way to try new products before buying them!

We rented a house through this company for over a year. Despite paying one of the top rent prices on the island, we got NO service from them. We were always told by the property manager that people were coming to repair stuff and they never did....... then there was the matter of the shower in the house leaking into the carpet in the hallway SO BADLY that the hallway was soaking wet and stank. It didn't get repaired in three months! That was the reason for us moving.

Then, at final inspection, she didn't bring our entry report... couldn't find it......and then tried to tell us we had done things to the house that had been listed on our entry report.

We got our copy and took it to the office, where she then proceeded to try and tell us we had to pay for outdoor pest control even though we had no pets outside and it was NOT on the lease.

We fought her and got our entire bond back.

Absolutely appalling!

As the water surrounding Russell is either inaccessible, unsuitable or prone to jellyfish, the pool gets a lot of local business.
It's a standard 25m pool surrounded by grass.
There's a kiosk to buy drinks, ice creams etc, and prices are ok.

My grumble is with the fact that the teenaged girl working there took me and my partner aside and asked us not to hug because somebody had complained. DISCRIMINATORY. You can't catch homosexuality!

When you live on Russell, you don't have another option for a doctor. Unfortunately.

I saw two doctors while I lived there, neither of whom knew anything about my medical condition, yet were happy to prescribe anything I asked for. Just as well I wasn't a drug dealer.

Avoid if possible.

Only positive is............they bulk bill everyone.

I had an emergency with my baby Alexandrine parrot at 8pm one night and rang this vet. They told me to come right in. The vet we saw, a woman, readily admitted not knowing a lot about parrots, and asked us to wait while she called a vet who did.

Long story short, the breeder had sold us a baby with intestinal malformation, and the kindest thing to do was put him to sleep.

I was very attached to him, as I had been hand feeding him, so I was very upset. The vet was compassionate and kind and asked whether I wanted to hold him while it was done.

Afterwards, she had kind words for me, and ended up only charging for the euthanasia and not the after hours consultation.

I also received a condolence card from them in the mail a few days later.

Their fees are a little steep, but you get what you pay for!
