I came here to look at renting a house. The agent told me about a few but not the kind I was looking for. I ended up finding one I liked on their website and rang and arranged an inspection. Agent was late. I liked the house so I took it.

Repairs were not done as needed and agent did not return calls or emails chasing up work that was supposed to be done.

We rented a house through this company for over a year. Despite paying one of the top rent prices on the island, we got NO service from them. We were always told by the property manager that people were coming to repair stuff and they never did....... then there was the matter of the shower in the house leaking into the carpet in the hallway SO BADLY that the hallway was soaking wet and stank. It didn't get repaired in three months! That was the reason for us moving.

Then, at final inspection, she didn't bring our entry report... couldn't find it......and then tried to tell us we had done things to the house that had been listed on our entry report.

We got our copy and took it to the office, where she then proceeded to try and tell us we had to pay for outdoor pest control even though we had no pets outside and it was NOT on the lease.

We fought her and got our entire bond back.

Absolutely appalling!

The proprietors, Wendy and Bevan Dorrington, have lived on Russell Island since 1996 and Wendy first sold real estate on the island in 2001. Given that some of the big franchised agents on Russell Island don't even live on the island, this evidences the Dorrington's commitment and passion to their chosen profession.
