4 emergency presentations to the Emergency Department during early pregnancy - and not once did he bother to come & see me. My husband took me to a private hospital who admitted me for 5 nights, I was that unwell....no further comment, it's a no brainer...

Had major surgery as a private patient & was told I was going to have continuous pain relief via IV for 3 days. Planned length of hospital stay was 5 days. Ended up in high dependency unit straight from surgery as I needed high levels of pain relief. Anaesthetist removed IV pain relief within less than 12 hours of surgery "because I looked drowsy and didn't need it". Ongoing pain relief was insufficient & surgical assistant advised me she was annoyed that it was removed so soon. Staff refused to call my doctor due to issues with pain relief. I was in severe distress due to pain & ended up self discharging within 48 Hours of surgery. Doctor refused to discharge me with pain meds because I was self discharging against medical advice. Spent 3 weeks thrashing around in pain & split my wound open which then got infected & I needed weekly dressings with my GP. So much for trying to recover from major surgery - a little empathy & compassion from the nurses would have been nice. Never will I ever set foot in this hospital again - even if I my life depended on it.
