This review is for Laneway Cafe, Devonport TAS

Access to the café is very easy with a major car park next door (pay parking - $1.80/hr - but worth it to access Laneway), literally 10-20 paces.
Upon entering, the café has a very welcoming, arty, feel and is always buzzing with life. The owners and staff are very welcoming and provide superb, genuinely friendly, professional service. My wife, kids and I go their regularly and the staff make us feel like we are part of an exclusive club. There are activities for the kids (colouring in books and crayons, toys and books).
The menu is dynamic, fresh and full of variety including tasty vegetarian dishes. The coffee is great and there is an excellent selection of teas and local wines/beers/ciders as well as other quality alcoholic options. Laneway offers all day breakfast as well as daytime/breaks/lunch options. Where possible all produce/meats/beverages are sourced locally. Laneway also promotes and sells local smallgoods/delicacies.
Every meal/snack we have had at Laneway has been excellent quality, full of flavour and presented like it came out of a 5 star restaurant. I always walk away feeling satisfied by the portions served.
If you go there for breakfast I highly recommend the eggs benedict with salmon and hash browns on the side. The hash browns are made fresh and are the best I have tasted anywhere in the world.
Final note. These guys have special catered theme nights, so far there has been jazz and 80s. My wife and I went an 80s night and it was a blast. Good food, live 80s music and dance.
If you are local or coming from the mainland/overseas I highly recommend this café as a first port of call as it will set you up for an excellent experience in Devonport and greater Tasmania.

I took my 1 year old for a haircut at this salon & was just so impressed! The hairdresser was so sweet & patient toward my toddler (who did not want to get a haircut), and somehow, with all his moving about, she still managed to do a fabulous job.

The salon has a very plush & beautiful decor (not the sort of place one would normally take a little boy to get a haircut, I must admit!). Value for money is excellent, service is friendly & I highly recommend this business.

This is a fantastic butchery, selling only free-range meats. They have a great range, the quality is excellent and prices are better than supermarket prices. The guys are very friendly, and give really helpful advice about the best cuts for various dishes etc. They are open Tuesday to Friday, and orders can be phoned in to save time.

This is my favourite hairdressing salon! I can go here in total confidence that my hair will look great when I leave. They really listen and give great, honest advise. They use high quality products, and are talented hairstylists. Sadly, they are located in my hometown where I don't currently live, and after experiencing a string of bad haircuts at various salons across the country, I now prefer to simply wait until I have a trip home to have my hair cut.

A great hairdresser is a very valuable asset for a woman!

This review is for CERES Organic Market & Shop, Brunswick East VIC

Ceres market is a Saturday morning tradition for me & my family, since moving to Melbourne. The organic fresh produce is excellent quality and I haven't found anywhere to beat their pricing. While I gather veggies, herbs & fruit, my family enjoys the music provided by different musicians/bands each week, we then treat ourselves to the best coffee & pastries in town.

We love the wholesome, earthy atmosphere at Ceres.

This review is for Mamasita, Melbourne VIC

I was so looking forward to going to Mamasita, as I just adore Mexican food, I'd seen great reviews about it, plus it looked great on their website. Sadly, after a 45 minute wait for a table, it proved to be a let down in every aspect. The seating is very cramped (and I'm a very slim person), the atmosphere dingy, and I found the food quite bland. The only way to get both flavour & spice was to add some of the hot sauce provided on the table. I was in a group of four, so as recommended, we shared a number of dishes. I'm not a big eater at all, but left there feeling hungry. The cost was outrageous for the food type and portions served. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I will not be going back.

This review is for Nautical Restaurant, Port Melbourne VIC

My family enjoyed lunch at Nauticals recently and found the atmosphere to be relaxing, with lovely views. The staff were friendly, very considerate towards our young children, and the kitchen happily adapted food to suit the little ones. We found the service prompt and professional. The menu offered a good range choices, including plenty of non-seafood/fish options. I'd like to see a few more choices for wine by the glass, however, the wine on offer was very good quality. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Nautical and will happily dine there again.

Great place for mums with littlies who want to relax with friends over a coffee and a piece of cake, while the littlies are entertained with one of the various daily activities such as Spanish Lesson Tuesdays ($5 fee), art on Wed, sing and dance on Thurs with the toys provided. Lovely home made cakes, excellent friendly service where the ladies remember your name and the pricing is very fair. Its so good to find a place that caters for mums and their little ones, I'll be a regular.
