My little boy needed to have grommets put in at the age of 2. After making numerous phone calls and not being able to get an appointment with a ENT for months, i finally tried Dr Mark Courtney's room and to my delight was able to get an appointment within a week and the surgery done within 2 months- on christmas eve. Dr Courtney was extremely professional and really explained eveything clearly. He didn't charge above the medicare gap so all we had to pay was the hospital admission fees which was very little as we had private health. By getting the surgery done so quickly it saved my child from having permanent hearing loss. I can't thank Dr Courtney and his staff enough.

Pindara Place houses some of the best obstetricians & gynaecologist's on the Gold Coast. I was referred to Dr Benjamin Bopp for my first child back in 2006. throughout my pregnancy I was well looked after.Dr Bopp was always kind and willing to take the time to explain things properly to me. I am currently in my second pregnancy and had no hesitation in going back to Pindara Place for my obstetrenic care (in fact i requested it). If you want the best pregnancy care then i'd recommend getting a referral to pindara place.

The strawberry farm is a great place to take the kids for FREE to see some animals. They have goats, chickens, lamb, calf, and ducks.You can pay $2 for a bag of food,carrots or milk to feed the baby calf.The kids love being able to get up close and pat the animals. they also make a really yummy strawberry ice cream and the shop has lots of nic nac's and the food is also reasonable priced. Its a great place to go for an outing.

This is a new play centre that has just opened up in the Helensvale Homeworld. It is not as big as other play centres on the gold coats but it has 3 defined sections for under 1, 1-4 year olds and then a bigger section for the older kids with two fantastic racing slides and a ball pit and climbing area. They also provided free art/craft/ dance on certain days (but you will need to book).Its a great little centre. the only issue i have is that the food is really expensive.

It took me a long time to find a really good dentist on the Gold Coast and Breeze Dental is good! The staff are friendly and Dr Karla is so gentle and does a really good job whether its a filling or a clean. My whole family go there and we are really happy with Breeze Dental. They are also competitively priced and most checkups/cleans cost nothing as they are approved by most health funds. They are also open on Saturday's.

I had debilitating back pain and was off work for 3 months.I had been referred to various specialist and tried chiro and physio with no relief. I was at my wits end until i was referred to Ashmore Health Centre for Myotherapy treatment. Within a a few weeks i was medication free, within a month i was back to work and within a few months i was pain free. Highly recommend Ashmore Health Centre for treatment.

If you want a relatively priced hair cut done by a professional, I recommend Helensvale Hair Design. All hair cuts are only $14 and if you want regrowth colour or T section then it is only a further $35. Really great value haircuts that look good.

If you love teppanayaki then i'd recommend going to Kamikaze at Robina Town Centre (the prominade) for lunch. for approx $12 you get a salad, miso soup, teppan veges, steamed rice and your choice of meat. It tastes so good! the drinks are a little overpriced but you are willing to pay given the value you get for lunch. They serve lunch between 11am -4:30pm. well worth going!

We stumbled on this pizza shop a few years ago - and we were glad we did! their pizza's are soo good. the bases are beautiful - not to thick or thin and they puts lots of toppings on. The pizza's are approx $14 each - but are soo good! you could eat a good 3-4 pieces and still not have that bloated feeling that you get from some pizza places. definately worth trying their super supreme!! yummy

I used Baby Beehinds All in One bamboo nappies for my first child in 2007 and found them to be one of the best on the market. I am about to have my second child and have just recently bought a few extra nappies. These nappies are shaped like a disposable nappy and just easy to use with the added bonus of being kind to the environment and your pocket. The quality is fantastic and to my delight the price per nappy had actually gone down! The only issue i had with these nappies is that they only fit babies up to 18 kg's and my child was big - so i wasn't able to use them for the full 2 1/2 years. If you are new to cloth nappies - i'd recommend checking out the Baby Beehinds Website - they have such a great range of nappies to suit everyone!
