I felt compelled to leave a review after my recent experience.
I was called by Deaura Spa Clinic to say I had won a free 90 minute 24 carat gold facial after a friend had recommended him. I asked "whats the catch" and was told nothing, it is a completely complimentary 1.5 hour treatment.
As I work in the sun I went assuming the facial would be relaxing and hydrate my skin and perhaps they would be promoting a cleanser or moisturiser etc.
I went and did not even receive a facial, products were only applied to half of my face and I was told I was suffering from skin conditions I did not have and the 'beautician' implied if I didn't go ahead with the treatments I would get skin cancer.
I was then handed their price lists where they first expected me to pay $10,000 for a series of skin treatments. The girl then left the room and returned with a 'doctor' who halved the cost to $5,000 if I agreed same day.
But this wasn't the worst part, I was literally held captive for a further 2 hours whilst they gave me their heavy sales pitch, they literally would not let me go despite many attempts to say I had to leave, they continued to pressure me to sign up and even forced me to go through my phone to give them contact numbers.
I am not one to be easily forced into anything however, I felt so pressured and the only way I could get out of there was to give them some contact numbers (referrals) and apologise to my friends later.
I could clearly see how this company would get sales because the pressure is like nothing I have ever seen before, if you are a person that is not good at saying no you would easily be forced into signing up to these incredibly expensive treatments just to get out of there.
This company plays on peoples insecurities, and camouflage the marketing scam behind nice uniforms, a pristine space, modern packaging and supposed 'professionals' and only get sales by pressuring people for hours until they give in.
I have reported this very unethical business to avoid any more people falling victim.

Approximate cost: $5000
