I was very unhappy with the service I received from gowns of elegance. Planning a wedding myself was hard enough without them ordering me the wrong dress size. That wasn't even the worst of it. Then after they ordered me the incorrect size there wasn't enough time to get a different dress and was handled very poorly. I was made to feel like it was my fault when they made the mistake. When my bridesmaid dresses came in they said they'd call me straight away they called a week later. I traveled 2.5 hours and they said the dresses hadn't arrived only tell me a week later after emailing their office to say " we've had them since last Thursday "
I was only in a dress that fit me a week before my wedding and was told alterations would take 3 days not 3 weeks and three trips to Brisbane and never got an apology or them to check whether my dress was ok even though they assured me they would make sure to follow up. I was so upset and stressed the whole time they were hard to reach wouldn't answer the phone and had no voice message service as well as I would emailed and be told we need to check with the shop or we are only in the office Tuesdays.
When I paid half the amount of the dress straight up they said email us we will always respond and it's the best point of contact. Whenever they called back after I emailed they would be nasty to me as I had emailed head office and their boss wasn't happy so they called me and made me feel again like I was in the wrong. If you are a future bride save yourself the stress and go somewhere else, there were tears and loss of sleep, Wish I never ever went through gowns of elegance
