So much locally grown fruit and veggies, meats from all of our locals and so much more.
I love to go once a month for the potato's I have found that don't grow in your cupboard as they aren't as old as the ones you can buy in the shop's. We go each month to buy our fruit and vegg and as it is all so fresh if stored correctly it does last till the next market I have found.
You can eat your way around the market as everyone has their produce on show offering samples for you to try on just about every stall.
I Love the Orange Juice, that has to be my fave, its squeezed in front of you so you can see how fresh it is from their own orange grove in between Bendigo and Mildura.
Last month I found 400 acre's with his amazing egg's and Bath milk.
I have had some meat from each of the meat stall's, Beef, Pork, Goat and theirs Chickens as well, but you have to be early for one of those. All are Happy animal's treated with respect and have led happy live's and it show's in the quality of their meats.
There's a sausage sizzle so you get to try before you buy, the sausage's are all supplied by the meat farmers there.
We love the farmer's market held on the second Saturday of each month, we always find something new. I love to support our local grower's and will continue to do so.
Never having Goat meat before I wanted to give it a go. I found Camboer at the Bendigo farmer's market.
They raise the Goat's themselves and have a butcher come in to then do his bit, they are all cryovaced and sold, order online or go to a farmer's market.
Goat Meat Products are more Lean, both Low in Fat and Cholesterol making it a better meat for us to try, the price seems to be very reasonable on par with Aussie Lamb
There meats are very tasty and have some recipes on their website for you to use. It seems to be reasonably priced, with a selection of nice cuts.
The farmer's market has a sausage sizzle and you can try a Goat sausage before you buy any if you wanted to try before you buy? This is what I did then bought some sausage's, I would like to try a different cut next time as I found a great recipe for a slow braise.
I loved this little shop. So many wonderful things to look at and the staff are helpful and friendly also had good product knowledge.
I bought a Kitchen Witch a few christmas ornaments for my grand kids and a gorgeous lamp that was very reasonably priced on the day I was there.
There is a wide selection of items something for everyone, its even worth going in just for a visit while in Hepburn.
The fuel here is always good quality, my car has never spluttered around as it does in one of the other fuel place's that you need a discount voucher for. I have always found with any APCO they have the best priced petrol anywhere and always below the bigger brand name station's we all know so well that offer fuel dockets. So it is worth seeking them out.
So they have great quality fuel, the best price's in town that you don't need a voucher for. They have great coffee, snacks also tables and chairs for you to have a spot of lunch.
Some hat's, sunny's, cd's and videos as well. A great range of drinks also bread and milk for on your way home. So everything you need and then some.
Now I'm back on this side of town I will be making it my go to petrol station once again.
I found Melanie to be very Professional and an enormous help to me after being in pain for so long, she adjusted my leg back to being the same length as the other one as it was over 2" out of adjustment.
A few sessions with Melanie with her gentle manipulation helped me to walk almost well again. Sometimes I need a walking stick now still, but I was told I was going to be in need of a walking frame and I told her this and asked her to please help me as I didn't want that.
I don't know what more to say about her as I would just like to rave on about how much help she was to me, if I was ever in need of help again Melanie would be the first place I would go. I am also happy to recommend her to anyone as I feel she would be a huge help. I have never been to an Osteopath before but find this way of gentle manipulation to be an enormous help.
I had been to a few Physiotherapists who didn't help and were giving me the wrong exercises for home and making my problem worse. Melanie taught me a few home exercises and in conjunction with the work she did on me had me walking again in no time at all, with the aid of a walking stick, But thats far from a walking frame.
Her room's are always clean the receptionist very friendly and is also helpful.
There is free street parking to the side of her office that was an old style home that has been converted.
I found Jean via an add in the paper once, she was looking for costume Jewelry as I had some old gold items that were broken and some I didn't use anymore I rang her. She buys and sells Gold and Silver Jewelry and I found gives a great price for you, I thought she was very fair.
She also deals in Antiques and Collectibles and is always on the look out for decent items.
Jean Buys and Sells I have found her to be fair in all she deals in, free no Obligation Quotes.
We tried the Lyttleton Terrace Takeaway, just the once, and normally I would go back to give another try before making a not so good review, but I don't think so this time? The service was good, the quantity of chip's good and was standard for the minimum of chip's $3, the Whiting was $5.50 and was a huge disappointment.
The shop was clean and was very busy the day we were there. The chips were lovely but the fish if you could call it that was so small it should have been tossed back the poor little thing. We had the Whiting and as with any chippie you do pay a little more for Whiting, but I feel this was so small we should have been given an extra piece. It was over cooked because of its size i would say, the batter was crisp as was the none existent fish inside that was just holding the fish together. I can't say I was impressed in the least, as it was takeaway we didn't see the fish till we opened the wrapping up in the park. The prices were reasonable, no different to any other chippie
There's some free street parking but is always busy and hard to find a parking spot on some days.
One of the best in Bendigo I feel. The Volunteers are all lovely and so helpful.
They have a great range of items in clothing and lot's of lovely giftware, shoe's and so on.
Everything is clean and reasonably priced, the shop itself is light and always clean with great window display's I always find something to tempt me when I pass, if not for myself but for my grandkids.
Its always worth a visit here and donations and Volunteers are always welcome.
I found the bakery to have a lot of variety, we took a cake each and coffee away the day we were there.
The prices seemed reasonable, no more expensive than any other bakery.
A good range of fresh breads and rolls, also fresh cake's to choose from
Everything looked to be nice and clean, with table both inside and out of the shop to enjoy your lunch.
My self and Partner rented our last two units with Mawby Property.
We always found them to be very helpful and fair in all matter's to do with rentals.
We had to break our lease with the last property we were in with them and also found them to be fair in every aspect, giving us all of the information needed to break our lease in the correct manner.
