I had dinner here for the first time last weekend and was definately impressed. The menu was long with a wide range of choices from stirfrys to curry to noodles and salads. After we had ordered the meals were served up to us in less than ten minutes!! exceptional service! The meals were fairly large and the price was pretty good at around $21-23 for a meal with rice $3 extra if required. The staff were also friendly and very efficient. They also do takeaway

Approximate cost: $25

This is probably the best place to come for watch batteries or batteries for other small things - they are a reasonable price and will fit the battery for you usually in a short time frame. They also sell a variety of other things but a lot of it is tacky and cheap quality - though you can often pick up some good stuff at bargain prices.

I've been here a few times over the years and it is always fun. The skating area is pretty small which isn't good for large groups and often not good for taking kids who are unsure or cautious as they have to skate in the same bit as the fast confident skaters who often won't watch out for them. The price is reasonable and you can hire rollerblades, rollerskates or scooters, or you can bring your own along to use. Unfortunately they don't seem to be open that much though.

I went here tonight for a Christmas dinner with a group of around 20 people. Because we had 20 people we were able to use the private room for free which was very nice with no televisions or anything like that. The service was excellent, the staff always noticed when we had finished our drinks and offered us another and they were very good with special diets. We had a set menu of 2 courses with 2 choices per course and a set price of $40 which seemed good. The eye fillet I had was amazing with red wine jus - I'd definately reccomend that one! The only problem is the meal was slightly cold - probably because they waited and bought out all the meals at once.

This is my favourite health food shop to visit. There is lots of free street parking around which is a bonus. I can get all the gluten free flours I need easily from here and can by whatever quantity I like from the containers you scoop out of and pay per kilogram. They also have a large range of nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, cereals, sugar, rice, pasta, spices, prepackaged foods, cold foods, oils and just about anything. The price is fairly reasonable for most, though some things are more expensive because they are a more organic or gourmet product. I find buying some things like rice here is a lot cheaper than at the supermarket. I try to visit this store at least once a fortnight to stock up on flours for my gluten free baking :)

I am gluten and dairy free so a lot of the ingredients I need for baking you can not find at a regular supermarket. The grain grocer stocks just about everything I require, and it is mostly in those containers where you can scoop out the amount you require and then pay per kg. They also have an extensive range of spices and I love just being able to get a small amount and not paying for the jar! The only inconvenient thing is that being in the middle of town there is no free parking around and it can be a fair walk from the car and cost to go there :(

This review is for United Customer Electronics, Launceston TAS

I called emailed Customer Electronics yesterday as I was a new belt for my turntable but I didn't know if they did that and thought they would need to order one in. They told me to bring in the turntable and they would be able to match what I needed. I went in in the afternoon and the guy serving me was very helpful. He went out the back and promptly returned with the correct belt, then he also showed me how to fit it and one little thing that I needed to clean off at home. The belt only cost me $15 which I was happy with as they cost more online where I thought I was going to have to get it. It's good to know somewhere local keeps them in stock. This place also services/repairs all sorts of electronics including tv, dvd, video and interestingly dyson vacuums.

This shop is always great for buying gifts, especially if you are unsure what you want to buy! they have the birthday range with ages etc, but they also have heaps of novelty stuff, an adults section (great for hens nights etc) and just lots of other cool stuff. It's also a great place to go if you want something with a name on it - whether it be a keyring, pen, cup, etc. When i was younger I loved this shop for the beanie kid section they have which is the best in launceston for sure. The prices here range depending on the item, and I find some things do seem a little expensive for what they are. The shop is packed with so many things and is only a small store so it can be crowded especially this time of year close to Christmas. THe good thing is the store is set up in a 0 shape so you can go up one side and back the other and then out.

This review is for Legana Hair And Beauty Salon, Legana TAS

Prior to visiting this salon I had been moving around each time I had my hair cut as I could never find a hairdressor I liked that gave a decent cut and they were always overpriced. At this salon they are very friendly and I found a hairdresser whom I like so I always get my hair cut by her each time. The price is lower than many places I have been before. The salon is a little out of town but worth it for the great service. I believe they also have other beauty services here like waxing as well. I won't get my hair done anyway else now!

This review is for Bento, Kings Meadows TAS

I like this Bento better than the one in Launceston city. It is often not as busy so service is quicker, and they have a larger range of fresh sushi. All the meals are prepared fresh and quickly for a reasonable price and can be done for takeaway or dine in. I like to get sushi as you can get two rolls for $7 which is enough for my lunch.

Approximate cost: $7-20
