Last Friday morning AMovers helped me move from North Melbourne to Brunswick West. The movers were nice and friendly and performed the job in a timely manner. However, as the movers were about to driver off I noticed the bed had been assembled incorrectly. The side panels were placed on backwards with the wood side exposed rather than the flush, painted side. I tried to get their attention, but they did not see me and drove off. I called the office to speak with the lady who helped me arrange the service and she told me she would call the movers to see when they could come back and fix it.

After an hour without hearing back, I called to get an update. Apparently they were unable to get in contact with the movers. She then asked if "there was someone else who could fix it for me". I was a little shocked this was suggested, as the person who would have to fix it would be me, which I wasn't exactly keen to do considering I had hired someone else to do it for me. She then said she would call back once they got a hold of the movers. By the end of the day, I still had no follow up phone call, so I decided to send an email to express my frustration with the situation. I was really hoping for a follow up email or phone call, but I have still received nothing.

After paying over $300 for moving services, I had to go out and buy tools to fix my bed and spend over an hour resembling it. On top of having to unpack and organise my new room I unnecessarily had to spend my time doing something that I had paid good money for someone else to do.

Leading up to this I was really happy with the service the company had provided, but their lack of apology or help to rectify the situation in any way has left me very disappointed. I would not recommend using AMovers.
