Great to run into to grab a quick takeaway chicken or nice to sit down for a Devonshire tea. The children especially love their famous "spiders" as a treat. The lady is always cheery and the kids tend to get a little extra bonus now and then.

I always pop in here for a cuppa and a treat hen moving to Strathalbyn. The food is always fresh and the coffee is perfect. This time I took the whole family in for lunch. When we finished I asked one of the lady's if they might have anything the kids could feed the ducks with and he gave me a whole loaf of bread! Thank you!

My wife always takes me in here when we visit Strathalbyn and "hints" strongly about what she might like for her birthday! They have a good range of stock from kitchen ware to clothing and jewellery. The lady serving was really friendly and explained to me that the item I was holding was a "strawberry huller".... Who knew???

A good little boutique winery in good company along the wine trail. The lady serving us was clearly passionate about her work and gave intricately detailed information about each testing. This was our last stop in a string of wineries so next time I will put it higher up my list to revisit to give it the attention it deserves.

I had sampled Currency Creek wines many times but never been to their cellar door until now. It has a stunning outlook and great views. I already had my favourites but it was new to my friend fom interstate and he enjoyed it a lot.

A nice boutique winery set in beautiful surroundings. We took interstate visitors on a winery tour and saw a lot of old heritage listed wineries so this was a welcome change as its much more contemporary. Their white an bronze cab savs lived up to their reputation.

Set in a lovely original old stone barn this winery was great. We shared a platter with our guests and the lady was really good in suggesting which wine went with which cheese and the kids were given some milder cheese an crackers just for them. A nice day out.

Very nice winery to visit with lots to take in. They have a lot of ports which isn't really my thing but the reds were great. Full of history made for an interesting stop off.

Lovely boutique winery, a nice surprise off the main road. We were very welcomed, even with the children who were given glasses of water to drink (made them feel a part of it!). Although we didn't dine there they had a really nice alfresco eating area which looked inviting. We bought a couple of bottles to take home with us as the win testing was great.

The smells coming from here lure you in. You should have seen the kids' eyes when we we went in, not to mention my wife's! I gave each child $5 to spend and the time alone was worth it. They have a huge range of sweets, anything you could think of and some I haven't seen since my childhood, like coconut quivers.....

Approximate cost: $40
