Had our wedding flowers done at Scent from Eden last year. The whole experience was great, right from talking about ideas months earlier through to the finished product. I was rapt with the outcome and impressed by the service. The price was very reasonable also.
We had our wedding there last year and still get compliments from the guests on how spectacular the setting was, how extraordinary the service was and how delicious the food was. Erin was our planning co-ordinator and was very patient and attentive. The co-ordinator of the evening, Jo, was fantastic. Our needs were met before we knew they were needs. Our photos came back recently and despite the drought the gardens look exquisite. It's a little out of town but well worth the buses. Couldn't recommend more highly from start to finish.
Great art films and roomy cinemas, but not so hot for a gold class experience unfortunately. We phoned ahead to book the gold class tickets and were told that not only had they added a booking fee of $3 but that we had to come in and book in person. This is contrary to the website instructions. So we went and booked in person, at which point they didn't ask for details, or charge a fee, or think to inform us we would be sitting in the very front row. The front row seats are way too close to the screen. I felt dizzy and carsick throughout the busy scenes in the movie and left with a headache. Very disappointing experience for such a premium price.
Approximate cost: $29 per ticket
Gee Cees have an impressive menu. The food itself is tasty and plentiful. The staff are efficient and they have an impressive bar. The pumpkin salad is well worth a try.
Great little cafe tucked away in an unexpected spot. Has a great range of gifts and trinkets to buy while you are there. Delicious coffees and teas, cakes, biscuits and light meals. The service is extremely friendly and cheerful, and the presentation of everything is fantastic. An ordinary hot chocolate becomes extraordinary!
Often stop in here for coffee (and sometimes cake!). Great range of coffees, teas and cakes and slices. The menu looks great for lunches. Staff are efficient, but not exactly friendly.
I often stop here for lunch and a few healthy food supplies. The staff are really relaxed, helpful and knowledgeable. A long time back I noticed they stocked a brand of wine but not the particular variety that I love, they were totally willing to get it in and have stocked it for me ever since. Old fashioned service.
I haven't bought flowers here but have bought plenty of jewellery. I find the staff very helpful and friendly, and the shop is a feast for the eyes. I see their flower displays in the window and in McCafe regularly, which are always creative and beautiful.
Absolutely delicious mexican food, and lots of vegetarian options. Not so into the spanish food, but that may just be me. Margaritas are a highlight, as are the nachos and sweet potato burrito. Great atmosphere, great bar.
Often run in to grab a foccacia for lunch, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and encourage us to ring ahead and avoid the wait for it to be toasted. The roast vegie one is a winner. Also have lots of soups, sandwiches and rolls - lots to choose from for lunch. Moderately priced.
