This place is a lot of fun to take the kids. Our little girl just loves visiting Wiggle World and seeing the Kangaroos and other animals that they have. If you are local and get an annual pass it's well worth it.
Once a week outside of school holidays, on a Wednesday they have a 'babes in arms' session where you can take your children under 5 for free. It's a good opportunity to see a movie without needing to worry if your child starts crying etc.

The Crystal Castle is an amazing place nestled in the hinterland of Byron Bay / Mullumbimby. They have all sorts of crystals, books and other alternate lifestyle products to buy. You can have your Aura photograped. Or just visit the cafe which serves some amazing food.
One of our favourite restaurants, the ambiance is great, the service is excellent and the food is divine. We love the Spicy Beef, the Musaman Curry and the Green Curry, and the spring rolls are great too.

A good smaller style zoo. They have enough animals and shows to keep you busy for about 4-5hours. The best part is that it's quite interactive you can feed a lot of the animals including Donkeys, Emu's, Deer, Kangaroo & more. Our kids had a ball!

We love this place. The couple that run this little eatery are super friendly. They do the best burger imaginable, served on turkish bread it is huge - big enough to share if you get a side of chips. Their chips are covered in a paprika style salt that is just too good.

Friendly service, and good choice of DVD's. Can't beat $1 Tuesday's when all DVD's are jus $1 to rent including new releases. Only negative is that some of the Kids DVD's are often in well loved condition - scratched, so they pause and skip.

Little Beans Cafe in Nobby Beach does probably the best coffee on the Gold Coast, using Merlo coffee it is really really good coffee. They don't have a great range of food but they do have a good gluten free friand for those with gluten intolerences.
They serve the best nacho's I've had on the Gold Coast - really, really good. They also do a pretty good steak which comes with an amazing salad with pesto dressing. They are family friendly and have very cute babycino's with 'fairydust' sprinkles on top.

Really friendly and professional service. The food is a bit pricey but it is really good. The New Yorker style sandwich is really very good with pastrami, pickle, marinated capsicum...yum.
