The serviced apartments are really nice and we had one overlooking the water which was lovely. The pool is excellent a great size for a resort. The other facilities like mini golf and rock climbing etc are a bit of a farce...they are very run down. It's an expensive place to stay and expensive to eat too...but you can bring your own food and cook in your apartment. A relaxing stay just disappointed with the 'sports facilities'
We stayed on Couran Cove a couple days and ate at the Poolside cafe for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet is good. The Spa Island Grill and Salad Bar dinner is awesome, you can choose a main from the menu and you get unlimited salad and dessert bar. I had the Poterhouse and it was really good.
I went here for a casual business meeting as my associate was staying at the hotel, it was a very nice classy and comfortable bar with piano music playing. I had a really nice sem sav blanc but don't know which one it was!
We had a few 'two for one' vouchers from shop-a-dockets and we went for breakfast on one occasion and dinner on another. The breakfast service served all the staples - cereals, danishes, bacon, egg, saugsage, breads etc. The dinner service had a lot of asian inspired food plus carvery, etc. Pretty good all in all.
My friend is Italian and her family regularly go to Old Castile for dinner which speaks volumes for the food. The pizza is awesome my favourite is the Mexican pizza
Approximate cost: $18-22
Our experience wasn't that great unfortunately. The service was blah and the pasta was just missing the mark. On the upside the gelato from the gelato bar is beautiful.
Have eaten here a couple of times and I have not been disappointed with the food. (Though my husband didn't much care for the Beef Stir Fry he got last time we went)
It's quite pricy - but the entree size portions are often large enough for a light meal.
My recommendation is the calamari salad. They have pretty decent coffee there too.
Service is fair.
My only gripe would be that you can't bring cake for birthday parties (and the cakes they have are around $40, and that they are very reluctant to give you a glass of tap water and want to charge you for bottled water instead.
Over all pretty good casual dining.
The food here is the best Indian food I've had in Perth. Try the Dosai or the Set Thali Lunch special. For an entree you can't pass up on the Onion Bhaji.
The prices are totally affordable, especially the lunch specials.
The decor is plain, it's just a small Perth restaurant with a handful of tables - but the food is delicious.
We attended a wedding at Tradewinds Hotel in Fremantle and it was just magical, the room was set out beautifully and the hotel itself is classic and classy. The views over Swan River are beautiful.
Great brewery with an excellent location, you can sit outside while the kids play in the playground and take in the scenery and fresh air. Try to bootleg brewery sampler tray.
