We had dinner a few weeks ago at about 6pm and there was only a few other diners in the restaurant which was perfect as we had our 2 year old with us. The service was attentive and child friendly. The food was good - the lemon chicken is nice. I love that they give you a little fruit plate at the end of your meal (: I didn't think it was expensive - we had spring rolls and then mains with rice, no dessert, and just table water and it only cost about $40 and fed two adults and a child nicely.
Approximate cost: $12-18
Excellent fish and chips for a reasonable price. They offer a gluten free option too. We love the grilled fish with Cajun Spices and their shoestring fries are awesome. The service is friendly, one of the girls even remembers our child's name whenever we go in.
Approximate cost: $5-12
Cheap but healthier alternative to the usual takeaway foods. The fish taco is great, I love the mayo or tartare or whatever sauce it is they use on it! The burrito is really filling and hearty but I'd prefer more cheese, sourcream, etc and some chilli sauce.
Approximate cost: $8-10
Great pool and kids club and the staff are pretty friendly. The kids park is awesome my daughter had so much fun there! Our room was a bit noisy and it could all do with a bit of an upgrade. Tbe dinner buffet isn't worth the money. But I would recommend for families with younger children for sure.
We booked a trip to Fiji through tavelonline.com and we got a great deal. We did find it cheaper to book our own additional's though (like transfers, etc). The instant quotes are awesome. The customer service is pretty good too...they got back to me within 48 hours of enquiry.
We've used them twice - once for a 5 week trip and once for a 2 week trip. Both times we were very satisfied. The second time we also had the car clean done for an additional $40 and it was a good job. The shuttle service to / from the airport is fast and efficient. All good!
We had a great night, it was such a fun experience - be prepared to be insulted or at least creeped out by the staff! The show is fantastic. The food is pretty good. The chocolate coffin dessert was so rich I couldn't finish it...and I love chocolate! Only down point - The drinks are expensive.
Great for a splurge or special treat the breakfast buffet at the Marriott Surfers Paradise is divine! You don't have to stay at the hotel to eat at the restaurant. It is expensive but if you have an entertainment book you can get 25% off. The spread is awesome some of the highlights for me were the smoothie bar, eggs benedict and honey that you scrape straight from the honeycomb!
Approximate cost: $50 plus
The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean and relaxed and the food is AWESOME! I normally go 'traditional spice' while my husband has the 'rastas revenge' either way the Jerk Chicken is delicious. The montego burger is also very good. And you can't go there without getting a side of 'festival' a delicious doughy dumpling treat kind of similar to a churros
Approximate cost: $10-15
We recently dealt with Student Flights for flights and accommodation for an upcoming overseas trip and we found Kylie and the staff very professional and helpful.
