Fernwood Southland have the worst management. I tried cancelling my membership last year in July and was told to make it "official" I needed to have a meeting with [redacted personal identifier] and pay a cancellation fee (which I was fine with paying). I left my details for this "meeting", but I was never contacted back by them (and also I completely forgot!!!).

Just this weekend I went into Fernwood asking to chat with [redacted personal identifier] to make this cancellation official. I left my details and signed forms to cancel and was told I won't have to pay the fee because the contract finishes next month.

Today I called to follow up and FINALLY spoke to [redacted personal identifier]). She told me I'd still have to pay the cancellation fee. I asked why I was never contacted back and she said she wasn't working at the club at the time. ALL lies because did a quick FB search and found out she was definitely [redacted] the whole time!! And all of a sudden, cancelling my membership is no official meeting, just a conversation over the phone!?

I'm beyond pissed off. It isn't adding up and I shouldn't have to pay this fee. All they seem to care about is money and I can't believe they have the audacity to STILL not wave the fee after it was THEIR responsibility to call me back.
