I always get confused between Thai La-Ong 1 and 2. 2 is smaller in size I believe and is good for the students or larger groups due to the good pricing and decent servings.
Good location when attending the Capitol Theatre, busy place, serves are quite big and prices are fair too. The pork stir fry was tender and saucey.
Pad Thai was filled with the right amount of ingredients and tasted quite good. Atmosphere was okay, very busy and bustling. Pricing was suyited to the place and area.
I would of liked to give this place 3.5 stars out of 5. It does have an extensive menu and good prices but dishes are either GREAT or they are average.
There was not too much to choose from and the prices are okay but the menu needs some enticement. The food was warm, delivered promptly and tasted satisfactory.
I always wondered if the name refered to the addictive nature of opium and thus you want to come back to this restaurant time and time again?
No eftpos, good meals, nice sized and service was prompt but not exactly warm.
Beef cashew nut chilli jam, egg choo chee, pad khee - all shared amongst 4 people and more than enough to go around with full flavour dishes, and great pricing. EXCELLENT place to dine.
Miang Goong, Tamarind tofu, Tom Yum soup, Cashew chicken and Black pepper beef are all the most tastiest of dishes cooked just right and at $17 a main who would complain!.
I love how their SPRING ROLLS ARE WAGYU BEEF, and there is so many great items to select on the menu, all done with a special touch. My only gripe is the hard seats here but it is one of the best places I have eaten.
Tom Yum seems popular and is at a good location but the service was a little cool when i went, i must say the pad thai was the best out of all the dishes we ordered and well priced too.
