The comparison of the exterior to the interior of the Metro Theatre is incredible. The acoustics and atmosphere inside the main area are fantastic. I saw Last Dinosaurs back in October 2012 and I had the time of my life. Amazing venue and definitely one of the best small venues in Australia.

Pretty much the only waterslide in Newcastle and it feels like an amusement park. There are 4 pools, one of which is 4-5m deep in the centre. There is also a set of 3 or 4 diving boards for the deep pool. Along withy the pools of all different lengths and depths, there is also a water playground for the kids with a big bucket that fills up and pours all over the place. Overall a great family place.

This review is for Coughlans Swim Centre, Warners Bay NSW

I have been to this centre quite a lot, and it is ok, but definitely not the best. The teachers are good and they can hold a kids concentration when trying to teach them how to swim. The prices. However are a bit unreasonable, including lessons and equipment.

This all ages store has collectibles ranging from model cars, bikes and trains, to remote control automobiles to board games. Prices for everything are quite reasonable and the entire store can appeal to anyone with an interest in fun. Great store and the staff do a great job on meet the needs of their customers.

Huge range of comics and action figures. Great for beginner and advanced collectors. They are a bit pricey, especially for DVDs and box sets, but they are still great value. Right in the heart of Newcastle and the only comic book store in Newcastle. Great for all ages and the staff are delightful.

This review is for Zone Empire, Wallsend NSW

Laser Tag has always been one of my favourite activities. Zone Empire make it an incredible and memorable experience. They have a huge, dark area which is perfect for sneaking up on people when playing. Once your game is over, you get taken to a small room for a target-shooting mini-game and there is a point system for that too. In the waiting room, there are also Xbox's everywhere to keep you occupied until you go in for your game. This place is great for parties of all ages!

This review is for Megamania Family Restaurant & Playland Cafe, Charlestown NSW

verified email - 02 Feb 2013

Megamania is easily one of the most fun places in New South Wales, whether you are a kid or a parent. It contains large obstacle courses, jumping castles, ball pits (which is the best invention in the world) and much more. There is a "coffee area" for the parents/adults to just chill and talk while their kids are off having fun. The only problem is that you have to be under the age of 12 (or 16, I can't quite remember) to go on the equipment, which is unfortunate for the immature older teens, like myself.

This review is for Abicus, Cooks Hill NSW

This is a multi-purpose store. It sells clothes and music. The music section contains both CD's and Vinyl Records. If you are a retro person (like myself), you will be glad to see that they have Vinyl's from all genres at a very affordable price. This store is very "indie" and is more directed at the teenage generation, however adults can still feel stylish in their clothing. Abicus is great and should be praised as one of the best stores in Newcastle.

This review is for Honeybee, Cooks Hill NSW

This store is designed for people of the hipster and indie lifestyle. Their range of outfits and knick knacks are great and the staff are incredibly friendly. Certain items can be a bit pricey but they are perfect gifts for people's birthdays, Xmas, etc.

Also, not to mention, it smells lovely in there. They always have a perfume or perfume-like smell in their store. Lovely little add-on.

This review is for Bibina Foods, Warners Bay NSW

The range of foods and drinks in this place is just fantastic. They even have a refrigerator room built to keep the imported chocolates cool (Reese's, Pretzel MnM's, etc.). They also have a huge line of freezers up the back of the warehouse with many types of meats, frozen meals and seafood. A huge variety ensures that whatever the customer wants, they will get.
