I love YD's shirts as they look really good and fit my partner well. What I don't like is how they communicate with customers and the incorrect charges that I had to incur. I ordered a pair of shoes from their website for click and collect. Later I placed another order for shirts + another pair of casual shoes. I received no notification other than order confirmation for the first order while second order was shipped properly. When i checked with the store rep, he said he hasn't received any other parcel yet and said that the shoes were in stoc k and that I should receive an email confirming that the order is ready for collection. After waiting for another 2 days, I logged into my YD. account only to see that the order was cancelled (on the day when I had gone to the store where the store rep had confirmed that shoes are in stock) and no notification (email or otherwise) was sent to me stating that the order was cancelled. When I reached out to their customer service, I was told that email was sent to me and that I should check my Spam folder which I had already done before reaching out to them. I fail to understand how can I receive an order confirmation, revert to my query but not a cancellation email. Clearly they did not send anything and the reason provided was that the items were out of stock when they were preparing for shipping but since then they have come back in stock. I couldn't believe it - how can they said order confirmation email saying order will be dispatched asap for out of stock items, then cancel the order for click and collect when the nominated store had those items in stock. I also told them that I was charged a different amount while the refund is less than the amount I was charged so if they are no fulfilling the order, I should get 100% of my money back. For over 5 days, I did not receive a revert on my email. After trying all avenues, i reached out to them on Facebook IM and I was told that the person handling my query was on leave so they didn't revert - Are you serious?? Then I was told that the reason they did not give me full refund is because they deducted Amex charges from the refund amount. Deducted charges for what?? I did not cancel the order, they did so why should I be charged even a single penny for something that is not being delivered. YD. you have lost a customer for good. If this is the way they make money (cancel goods and keep the credit card charges) then it is the most unethical company that I have come across.
