A great old pub. Located in an old sandstone building offering good food, maybe a little dearer than a lot of pubs, but the Barramundi didn't taste like it had just been defrosted. The drinks prices are as you would expect. It provides live music of varying genres, rock, blues, country etc. If your looking for good pub food and a live band on a Sunday evening in the Balmain area, then this is the place for you.
Definitely worth a try.

I love Malaysian food and as there is not a lot around, I am always looking for new ones. I've given this restaurant a few tries and have usually left disappointed.
I do not recommend. There is better Malaysian in Parramatta.

The best Thai restaurant in Penrith. The food is good but it can take a while to get it, especially the main course. The restaurant is situated in an old federation style house and dining on the veranda on a balmy summer's night is very enjoyable. The red, duck curry is very nice and if you want to try a curry but don't like it too hot, try the yellow curry, mild but very tasty.
You could definitely do worse if your looking for Thai in Penrith.

A great buffet. Dearer than most buffets but the large variety and quality of the food, (for a buffet that is), makes it good value. The range starts from crackers and cheese, through Asian, roasts, pizza, fish and prawns, curries and more, through to deserts, coffee and soft drink.
If you want a buffet, this is the one.

The food here is good, nothing special but if you're looking for typical Chinese, then this will do. It is a little dearer than other Chinese restaurants but still reasonable. I've bought take away here on many occasions and I've found it on every occasion to be painful. I've even ordered 15 minutes before I've attempted to pick it up and had to wait another 20 minutes.
Overall, OK but not if your after take away in a hurry.

A good Indian restaurant. If you are looking for a good Indian curry at a reasonable price, then give this restaurant a try. It's the best Indian in Penrith. The food is served quickly and you can order wine from the bar or BYO.
I've had many a good meal here and I never leave disappointed.

A nice restaurant. The food and service was good. The menu had all the usual dishes. Slightly dearer than the Indian restaurants out in the suburbs but much better value than what you'd find at Darling Harbour and only 5 minutes walk away.
Overall, a good restaurant that I will return to.

This is not your typical Indian restaurant. Don't go there if you're looking for a typical vindaloo or madras curry. As with most restaurants in Darling Harbour, the price is over the top but at least this restaurant offers something different. It would be nice if it also offered the usual Indian dishes as it is the only Indian restaurant at Darling Harbour foreshore and I was hanging out for a madras. If your looking for something Indian but a little different, then give it a try.

Thai is definitely an over supplied cuisine and Gladesville has more than their share. I found this restaurant to be good value. The service was good, the food was typical Thai, nothing special but quite nice and the price was very reasonable. Definitely worth another visit.
