It has now been five months since Dr. Boon Kua performed my robotic assisted radical prostatectomy for which I am most appreciative. He inspired confidence from the initial consultation with straight talking based on the most up to date national and international evidence to which he no doubt contributes. Results and the pros and cons of all treatment options were discussed, and I was able to make a considered and evidence-based decision with no regrets. Potential surgical complications, which can happen with any surgeon, were frankly explained. Dr. Kua was recommended by several doctors, and it would be very difficult to find a more experienced urological surgeon, anywhere, with comparable outcomes. The surgery I had was major and without complication. Dr Kua has a great team of professionals working with him. In his rooms, Angie and Brittney couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. His referrals to I-Med Radiology and Aquesta Pathology Specialists ensured there were no diagnostic doubts. The anaesthetists he works with inspired confidence and the Wesley Hospital theatre and ward staff were terrific and the Prostate Nurse, Rachael, provided a wealth of information. All up, a streamlined journey at a difficult time. I am most appreciative of Dr. Kua and his team’s care and can’t thank them enough. He is a modest man with remarkable surgical skills who will always do his best for every patient.
