This review is for The Original Victor Fish Shop, Victor Harbor SA

Nice fish and chips. Fish had a nice, thin batter, so you can taste the fish. Chips were crisp and cooked just right.
Shop looking a bit tired, but clean. Price, not cheap.
Service, OK, could be a bit friendlier (although, I know from experience, preparing food can be a draining task, a lot of fickle customers nowadays), so may have just been 'one of those days'.
Sign outside advertises 'The Best Fish & Chips In SA'. Big claim; could be!; I'm not sure?; make up your own mind.
But you shouldnt be disappointed with the taste.

A nice family hotel at the top end of the main street of Numurkah.
We had a really nice meal here. Good, generous serves, reasonable prices.
The staff are very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome as out-of-towners.
There is a nice big dining area, and a big, safely enclosed kids playground (McDonalds style) to one side of the dining area, well visible for parents to keep an eye on the kids while dining. Nice modern hotel.

An older style store, but clean and tidy.
There is a very good selection of grocery items and fresh produce, a service deli and well-stocked liquor store at the front end of the store, to the left of the checkout area.
It is a busy store, the staff are polite and will help carry your groceries to your vehicle if you need help. They are open 7 days a week, with good hours, 'til 7 or 8pm during the week and 5pm on weekends.

This review is for Footy Korner Games World, Shepparton VIC

This store has a good range of footy clothing and supporter items for AFL, plus a lot of games and gifts.
I like to have a look for model cars to add to my collection when I come through Shepparton, and usually find something new to buy here.
The prices are reasonable for this type of store and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The store is neat and well laid out.
Good place to find a gift, especially for males.

This review is for Black Wattle Cafe, Malvern SA

Had lunch here a few days ago. Really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, a nice undercover outdoor eating area as well.
I had the Creole Atlantic Salmon Salad. It was very nice, the salmon was cooked perfectly. My wife had chicken parmagiana, which she also enjoyed.
Our meals were served within ten minutes of ordering. It is a very busy cafe, with people coming and going continuously.
A very nice cafe, but busy. Only negative was that it was hard to find a car park. The strip shopping centre it is in does not have enough parking, and the surrounding streets were also full, and trying to get a park on Unley Road is near to impossible.

This review is for Victa Cinemas, Victor Harbor SA

A historic old cinema, with just two screens, but right up to date with all the latest movies.
We saw the new Aussie flick, 'Mental', this weekend, first week of release.
Nice old-fashioned candy bar, very ornate, but once again, up-to-date.
The seating is old, but clean, roomy and comfortable, fitting in with the style of the cinema.
Good-size screen, good picture, the sound was not too bad.
Tickets were cheaper than some of the bigger chain cinemas.
Pleasant experience.

Approximate cost: $15 adult.

This review is for Nino's Of Victor Harbor Pizzeria And Pasta, Victor Harbor SA

This cafe is in an old 2-storey heritage-style building on Albert Place, just across from the seafront end of the main street.
It is really busy on weekends and holiday times, there are a few alfresco tables out the front.
We went in later one evening to try a couple of their gourmet pizzas that had been recommended to us by friends. Quaint old-fashioned style setting inside, and the pizzas were certainly very tasty.
I am not that into coffee, but have been told that it is pretty good here too!

This review is for Crikey Mate!, Victor Harbor SA

This gift shop in the main street of Victor Harbor is a 'Little Ripper, By Crikey'!
We were walking along the main 'drag' of Victor, just window shopping, browsing and 'chilling out', as my kids would say, on our weekend away.
The window display caught my eye, with some interesting pewter (I think) Aussie sculptures, leather goods and other knick-knacks, so I dragged my wife in to have a look. (I ask for trouble sometimes!)
A nice range of fancy leathergoods, including Milleni and Pierre Cardin (I kept her away from this section), and lots of other gifts, handblown glassware, jewellery, purses, wallets, etc. etc. etc.
The (very) bright and bubbly young lady who served us (the proprietors daughter, said she's getting married next weekend; ALL THE BEST), told us that a new range of gift items had just been added to their range.
The store is well set up, neat and nicely presented, and we really enjoyed browsing and having a chat in here.
A real little country gem, and we have a little chubby dolphin ornament as a fun memory of our weekend 'down south'.

This review is for United Petroleum Strathalbyn, Strathalbyn SA

We filled up today on our way through Strathalbyn. I passed the first station I saw, because the price seemed a little high. Glad I did, this one was over 15 cents per litre cheaper. I dont know if this is normally the case, but we saved about $8.
The station is modern, with easy access to bowsers at a 45 degree angle to the road, with nice high roof. We were towing a caravan, no problem getting in and out.
Well-stocked convenience store as well, neat and clean.
Friendly, prompt service, staff member was pleasant.

This review is for Port Elliot Holiday Park, Port Elliot SA

This park has heaps of caravan sites, about 200, all lawned and nice and flat. Some have a nice view of the ocean, over Horseshoe Bay and Crockery Bays, but all are only a short walk to the beach and town centre.
Some sites are fairly small, but quite adequate for a camper trailer, tent or small caravan, others are larger for bigger rigs, and there are drive-thru sites as well, so should be something to suit all requirements.
Secure, with boom gates. The shower and toilet blocks were very clean and well maintained, modern and fresh.
A nice big kids playground and jumping pillow, a small on-site kiosk, games/TV room. Plenty of room for kids to play and ride safely, but just as appealing to the grey-nomad set as well.
A really nice park, beautiful beach-front setting, close to town facilities and relaxing to go to sleep at night listening to the waves rolling into the bay.

Approximate cost: $33 per night (2 people) less 10% if Big 4 member.
