A great tourist attraction and fun to pick your own strawberries, for something a bit different. We didnt pick our own, but enjoyed looking at all the jams, spreads etc. in the store. All very nicely presented and neat and clean premises.
Very busy on a Sunday, but well worth a visit, especially to show interstate or overseas visitors a bit of SA. And set in a beautiful part of the state, near Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills.
Prices are not cheap, but the quality and presentation is very good and make great gifts.

We had breakfast at this cafe recently on a Sunday morning. Very enjoyable.
My wife had bacon and eggs that was nicely cooked and presented. I had some delicious toasted bread, with walnuts, blueberries and honey, drizzled with a light chocolate sauce and fresh strawberry. So tasty.
We sat out on the front verandah, raised above the footpath level, looking up and down the picturesque main street.
My wife had a cappuchino and I had one of the best Chai Lattes I have tasted.
The young lady (manager, I assume), came out to check if my wifes egg and bacon were cooked to her satisfaction, a nice personal touch.
And well priced at around $20. We will definitely call again.

Approximate cost: $20 breakfast and coffee for 2.

We have used this electrical business many times over the last 25 or more years, for both our business and private homes.
Dave is a top-notch electrician and knows his trade, keeping up-to-date with new technologies and the like.
His service is good and rates are reasonable. I happily recommend him as a competent and honest elecctrician.

I went here today with my wife, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and 5 others, for lunch and a walk-around of the large rose gardens, artworks, gift shop and classic motor vehicle display located here as well.
We booked in for lunch, which included a selection of baguettes, homemade slices and tea and coffee for $13.50 each. An extra $5 per person to tour the extensive rose gardens.
They also provide a selection of other lunch options for groups, from sandwiches to full meals. Also a menu for individuals.
All of our group were very happy with the food and excellent, friendly service from the staff.
The huge rose gardens are magnificently kept and presented, it would be easy to spend several hours here and probably not still see everything.
This is also a great venue for weddings and other special events, with the beautifully manicured gardens, extensive lawns and spectacular mass plantings of roses.
Cut flowers are also available for purchase, or for your function. I believe that they can cater for up to 150 people in the nice, big function area.
All of our group agreed that this was a fantastic place to visit, excellent value, and so much to see and do. The 2 hours we had here on our bus trip were not nearly enough, and we will definitely return again.

We had lunch at this cafe in the main street of Loxton on Saturday. I had a ham and pineapple baguette and my wife had a baked potato with bolognaise etc. Very tasty and fresh, and reasonably priced. Daughter ordered a basic hot dog with sauce and cheese, which she said was nice and fresh.
The cafe is not large, but is clean and tidy, with a few tables along the wall inside, and a couple more outside on the pathway, with umbrellas.

We had not booked, but they very kindly fitted us in for a meal on a very busy Friday night.
We sat at a larger table as there were no tables for 2 available, but this was fine. The dining room was quite pleasant, but I felt a bit 'shut in', as the windows had been all blocked out so that you could not look outside. It had been reasonably tastefully done, nicely decorated, but I like to see out and it seemed a shame to close it in.
My wife enjoyed her Chicken Parmiagana, I was not quite as impressed with my Chicken breast Chefs Special dish.
Prices were around $20 to $25 for a main. Drink prices seemed reasonable, though, and bar staff very friendly.
A busy place, probably not suitable for a quiet, relaxed meal out.

We ordered a takeaway meal for 3 of pizza and pasta. Ordered a #17 BBQ Chicken and a #13 The Lot (tomato sauce, mozzarella, mild salami, mushroom, prawns, leg ham, olives, bacon and pineapple) at $18 and $19 each for a large.
These were very tasty, nice thin pastry and good quality ingredients.
The pastas we ordered were the #5 Chicken & Avocado and #2 Napoletana at $16.50 & $15.50. I enjoyed the first one, but we all found the other one a bit bland.
Overall the meal was very nice. The staff were polite and prompt when we called for our order. It was ready at the time stated and we were served qickly and efficiently.
The dine-in area looked welcoming, modern and comfortable and we may give this a try next time we visit Mildura.

We stayed here for a night recemtly, when we had a party to attend in the city. It is conveniently located to the Festival Theatre area (northern part) of the city.
Our room was basic, but quite roomy and clean and tidy. Better than a lot in the city area and certainly roomier than other inner-city rooms we have had.
Parking is available (first-in, but quite a few parks available, so we had no problems) for $15 per night, gated and located at the back entrance to the Hotel.
Staff were prompt and efficient at check-in and out.
Price was very good at $99 for a double for the night.
We would be happy to stay here again.

Approximate cost: $99 a double.

We called in here for takeaway, but left without ordering.
The restaurant looks very nice, lovely decor, looks comfortable, with plenty of room, and off-street parking at the rear.
But we were not dressed to dine in and wanted to have take-away. We were not really acknowledged as we walked in, so picked up a menu to choose, but after checking out the prices, we decided to leave and try somewhere else.
We may be out-of-touch with Chinese take-away prices, but we weren't prepared to pay $20 plus per serve. Most were around $25. Seems very expensive to us. We had heard it is nice, but just couldn't accept spending $80 to $100 for a takeaway meal for 3. (without dessert!)

Approximate cost: $a lot

We bought 4 different takeaway meals to share from this takeaway that is conveniently located in the main city area of Mildura, on the corner of 8th Street and The Sturt Highway (called Deakin Street through the city area).
The staff, who appear to be all family, were friendly and you could watch them prepare the food in the kitchen behind the counter.
It is a small shop, but there are 4 or 5 tables to eat in if you wish.
My daughter has eaten here a couple of times before and said it was very nice. The meals tonight were quite nice, but maybe not the best we have had. My daughter, who was with us, felt that it wasnt as good as the last couple of times she had been, but OK.
The prices are reasonable, though at $11 to $12 per serve (we checked out another place before going here and their takeaway started at $20+ per serve.

Approximate cost: $11 t0 $12 per serve
