I hired 1300 My Cleaner to clean my small two bedroom house and iron my work shirts for two hours each week. They seemed super friendly when I first spoke to them and insisted they begin with a deep clean to set a standard for ongoing cleaning.

After I purchased all of the products they wanted me to, they 'cleaned' my house for three consecutive weeks. There was never any deep clean, the ironing was done without steam or water (my iron produces both) and the shirts were not even hung up properly.

After I spoke with them, they promised it was a one-off and the standard would change. It didn't. When I texted them a photo of what I came home to (shirts 'ironed', floors not swept behind doors, cobwebs by the sink), they stood by their results. Worse, they were even insulting when replying to my text!

It was clear to see their customer service was as bad as their cleaning. Normally I don't give reviews a 1 star because, really, nothing is THAT bad. This however, was.

I booked 1300 My Cleaner for an end of lease clean of my 2 bedroom apartment, including steam cleaning of the carpets. Overall, the quality of the clean was really very poor. Things looked superficially OK, and as I was in a rush to return my friend's car, I had to dash out quickly so I paid the cleaner without doing a thorough review.

On further investigation, I found that several of the kitchen cupboards had not been wiped out (including one that had had potatoes stored in it, so really needed a proper wash), there was still a couple of scraps in the wardrobe, there were smears on the shower screen that I needed to wipe down, the windowsills in the bathroom had not been wiped at all, the splashback needed to be wiped down as it was also smeary, the cupboards above the oven stovetop had not been cleaned at all and were still tacky (it had probably been a month since they'd been cleaned, so not horrific but needing a wipe), and the balcony had not been swept.

I phoned and texted the company (with an accompanying photo of the issues) and asked them to call back asap as I had to return the keys to the agent as we were moving that day. No reply - its now three days later and I still have heard nothing from them.

As all of our things had been moved out of the apartment, I had no choice but to go to the shop and purchase a broom, shovel, cloths and cleaning liquid, adding another $30 to what we'd already spent.

Extremely unimpressed and would not recommend this business under any circumstances, especially given they haven't even apologised for their poor level of service.
