Solar is a big investment, especially for larger homes, and it’s important to be comfortable that you are making the best decisions. All the way through the process we knew what we were buying, why we were buying it, what the alternatives were, and why the choices we were making were the right ones for our circumstances.

From the initial contact to the finished product, we have been thrilled with the folks from 3D Energy. We added a battery to our existing solar setup and received sensible advice that means we can now make full use of our solar system, without sending too much electricity back to the grid.

10.7kw Solar system install - Camp Hill

Matthew's team recently completed a residential solar installation for me. I initially approached Matthew for an alternative solar solution having already done a large degree of background work and almost pulling the trigger on another option. Matthew was quick to respond and offered his opinion on alternative setups that could meet my specific requirements.

For this install, I was concerned not just with the equipment selected and the overall cost but also the background and quality of the installer (I wanted an electrical contractor not a solar franchisee and sub contractors).

I decide to proceed with 3D energy as the equipment recommended, stacked up vs multiple other 3rd party reviews of the hardware, the total install quote was competitive, Matthew was responsive and straight forward re his opinions and recommendations, his business model/team appeared to tick my boxes re quality electrical contractors and they we able to book the job within reasonable lead time.

Come installation day, the weather was against us but Tom and his team was prompt, friendly & professional. They completed the work they could on the first day and left the site very neat and tidy ready for the following day's completion. Post installation, I reached out to Matthew to see if it was possible to relocate a few panels as the visual placement wasn't as I had originally intended, no problem, a few days later Tom and team was back and the relocation taken care of.

Though I haven't been up to see the roof level work, the inverter install, visible wiring and conduit work is all very tidy. The overall aesthetic finish is high quality despite the system not being in a prominent location, in stark contrast to what I have seen from other installs!

So far the solar system itself has met my expectations, I was very pleased with the overall experience from the 3D Energy team and would happily refer business to them in the future.

We are delighted with the service provided to us by 3D Energy who installed a new solar system to our home to replace the existing system which had developed a serious fault. Matthew was extremely helpful in helping us to choose the right combination of panels and inverter and made sure that our new system would still attract the higher feed in tariff. We recently upgraded our solar system with 3D Energy.Although we had some other quotes Mat from 3D Energy gave us the most information as regards to a variety of systems and costs. There was no pressure to buy, but when we accepted his quote, he kept us well informed as to each step of the procedure. Matthew was fantastic from start to finish his staff were very friendly & helpful. We are very happy with the finished product.

Firstly - the owner of the business runs the business and does the design thoroughly. Matt was on the roof with his tape measure before I even knew he was here. That compared to the majority who go to the internet only. Matt uses and recommends high quality components also.
Secondly - the installers did not tear into anything - they were careful on the roof and took enough time to make a neat job of the install. I had a roof repair guy up there to re point my terra cotta tiles after they finished and he was very complimentary of the quality of the job. He made particular mention of the amount of 2nd rate installs that he sees in his travels and how pleasantly surprised he was with my outcome.
Also - the installers were not only experienced installers but very capable when it came to commission the system.
Overall - I am more than happy to recommend Matt and 3D Energy.

Recently we had 3D Energy upgrade our solar system at home, they added new panels and linked our older inverter to the new inverter, a very stress-free process! They always do what they say they are going to do, excellent communication. Arrive on time and leave mess free.

We have a large household and needed a 10kW system. Matt gave us comprehensive advice and information from the outset, and answered all our questions. When it came to the installation, Tom and (the other) Matt did a great job over 2.5 days. They turned up on time, were pleasant to have on site, and also ready and willing with information about the new system. We also had to change inverters at the last minute, and that was done with no issues. Now that we have the system connected, the app and the smart meter installed, we couldn't be happier. Like many others, we would like to endorse the excellent service provided by 3D Energy. Firstly, we had researched several companies and received quotes in a timely manner. However, it was Matt who provided clear explanations to all the practical ins and outs of what was to happen and how it all works. He then was able to confirm and twig the best outcome for us re the size of the unit, the roof space, tariff feedbacks and Government rebate. A plan of action was the negotiated to work around our availability and product order. On the days planned for installation Matt and his staff (Tom and Matt) arrived on time and undertook all the work in a friendly, efficient manner. The workmanship was of a high order and connections, mounting equipment, running conduit etc were neatly done and all mess cleaned up and removed. This was a complete job done leaving the customer very satisfied. Explanation of the operational process and steps were also clearly explained before they left the site… and encouragement to phone any time if further info was needed. Our next wait is for the retailer to do their final connections and we will be enjoying the solar system to its capacity. All initial paperwork re connections and registration was also done by 3D Energy who advised us as necessary. Thank you again. We have already recommended 3D to family who have also engaged 3D Energy.

I have recently extensively researched solar installation providers and ended up using 3D Energy.
From my initial contact with Matthew over the phone through the quoting, contracting and finally installation I could not have been more delighted.
Matthew went to great lengths to make sure I understood the nature of the recommended system, any limitations my site posed and what I could expect by way of performance. He went through the components he uses and the warranty etc applicable.
Once I gave the go ahead the installation went very smoothly due to the professionalism, work ethic and courteousness of both Tom and Matt. They are really nice blokes to deal with and kept me up to date along the way. They are so polite and efficient that I think I have just had my first "great" trade experience. I left the premises open on occasions when I had to attend to other off site matters confidently trusting the integrity and honesty of these guys.
Matt has followed up since the installation and arranged all the necessary paper work and registrations.

the team at 3D energy has done quite a bit of work for us and has been amazing. They installed a solar system with battery storage - Matt navigated us through the options and found the best for us. At the same time - he looked at our current setup and recommended some changes that made us very comfortable that they were the right people to go to.
