4 reviews about Acacia Ridge Pet Resort

When I first read some of the more negative reviews I thought I was at the wrong kennels. I can honestly say that the standard of care at ARPR is unsurpassed. Not only did they care for my little mate but they care for the owner as well. When I took Buster to the kennels I was dealing with a serious personal problem as well. Letting go of Buster was the straw that broke the camels back. Unfortunately I had a bit of a breakdown (very unmanly) and what did the staff do? They let me take my time to let go of him, something I promised myself I would never do. When I composed myself what did the staff do? A staff member gave me a lift to the bus stop I needed, some 10 kl's away, yes, TEN kl's. When I read the more negative reviews I became quite angry for I know from a personal experience the staff there could not be more kind and considerate to both the dog and 'daddy'. Buster suffered from separation anxiety and dropped from 8.7 kg to 8.1 in a week. The staff could not be held responsible for that but what was their response ? They hand fed him and put him in a run with a similar dog. Two weeks later he was 8.9 kg.
So there, that is what I think of ARPR. First class in all aspects of their profession, in fact you would be nuts to take your best mate anywhere else unless you needed to. I can't even begin to thank the staff enough for looking after him to the standard they did.
On the issue of disease management, if you find a kennels that guarantees it is disease free then run a mile because it is impossible. It can be minimised but never eradicated, just look at Covid. It is just impossible. I know that separation anxiety can end up in the vet as a serious issue but these guys coped with it themselves with personal care and, I dare say, a good dollop of love. When I finally picked him up he was bright, cheery and tail wagging. All this from a self confessed neurotic dog owner!!!!
So once again, to all the staff at ARPR, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Peter.

With our family living interstate, our little dog Zac has been a regular guest at the Acacia Ridge Pet Resort for the past 5 years. Prior to our beloved cat Millie passing, she too frequently stayed at the Pet Resort.

The kennels are immaculate, with loads of room to play and stretch his legs, and nice cosy beds to snuggle up on. The Luxury Suites are amazing, with a real 'Home Away From Home' feel.

Zac has a great time at the Resort, he loves playing with the other dogs and the attention he gets from the staff. He is always excited to arrive which is particularly reassuring for our children when leaving him behind.

We have always found the staff to be very friendly and professional. We have on a number of occasions had to extend Zac's stay while we were away, the staff were incredibly accommodating which was a huge relief.

We have needed to send medication with Zac on occasion & the staff were more than happy to ensure he received his required prescription. It is a requirement of the Pet Resort that all Dogs are vaccinated & there is a vet on hand too.

It is comforting to know that while we are away Zac is well cared for and having a great time. The added bonus is the hydrobath he receives before we collect him :)

During my time of need, Abbey and the staff at Acacia Ridge Pet Resort came to my rescue. I had just been offered a job of a lifetime but couldn't take my beloved cats with me. Knowing that they would be receiving as much love, care and affection as they would be at home, I am eternally grateful to Abbey; for regularly updating me on their wellbeing, organising vet consultations and providing me with a affordable long term boarding rate. My piece of mind was always at rest knowing that Hobbes and Cassie were happy and loved in my absence.

My dog, Rusty, was a grumpy and temperemental old thing. Ever time he stayed at Acacia Ridge Pet Resort he was happy, well fed and played with other dogs.

He also had a phobia of water but the owners of Acacia Ridge were able to bath him and he was happy to go back again time after time.

I cannot say how much it meant to me that I knew my dog was being well cared for while I was away, whether it was for a weekend or for several weeks.
