Great place to walk around and buy different things that supermarkets don't have. Parking easy above the complex. Does get a bit crowded but this adds to the atmosphere
Great range of fruits, vegetables and other fresh produce. Easy parking on top of the market at a reasonable price. Love going to the market on the weekends but it does get a bit crowded but worth it. Great specials at the end of the day saturdays when everything its on special.
brilliant place and is good for the city to have this variety of food.
Very proud to have our central markets in Adelaide. Fantastic produce, great atmosphere, excellent food & dining experiences but can be too busy to move around.
Great experience... Shop there every second day on the way back from work. Fresh food and great environment!
Approximate cost: $20
On Friday, we can get better price normally.
I think we have the best markets in Australia. Such a variety of food, a great place to take visitors. Also the second hand book shop is fantastic too!
Totally agree the market is so unique and brings a lot of old into the current times. Hope it is always there
A very good place to try different sorts of food. You can compare prices among a wide rang of shops.
What's there not to love about th Central Markets? There are plenty of shops so that your shopping trip will only take one round - fresh fruit, vegies, poultry and seafood! You can always take a break and enjoy the wide selection of foods (fro cafes to Japanese sushi!). It's all very conveniently located in one area and their are plenty of buses that will bring you there.
Love the markets! Wish we got there more often! I particularly love that there is a vegan shop in the food court (part of the Chinatown precinct) which is affordable, healthy with great service.....yum!
Approximate cost: $5
The Adelaide Central Market is a must when visiting Adelaide. Great quality and value for all types of produce, you cant really go wrong. For even better value take a visit on Saturday
afternoon at about 2pm when most produce is sold off at bargain prices.
These markets are an SA icon, gone are the days of the Greeks and the Italians who ran the stalls with their FRESH fruit veg and other continental stuff. Now you get cheap n nasty and the very yuppie n expensive tastes. Overall the people flock to this place and there seems to be a change of the original cultural backgrounds that once presided over this icon.
