I am in shock how disgraceful this customer service is. I have now opted out of my membership after 8 years. They are refusing to honour a claim even though I showed them the part of the policy it relates to and that I have claimed on this before. The woman laughed at me and said "not my problem" when I said I was $1000 out of pocket.
Still shaking my head. Do yourself a favour and go with another provider

What a disgraceful service you provide after spending 55 minutes on the phone to not be given an answer , would never insure with ahm.

Been a member with AHM for a number of years now, and have signed my boyfriend up.

Customer Service has never been a problem.
Online claiming is really simple and easy to use.
Fast payments when claiming rebates.
Lots of service providers

Best benefits
Cheapest I have found for my policy and covers more than some of the more expensive policies with other companies.
Most years at time of renewal I check what other companies are offering and the the most i could save is $10 a year if i split my hospitals and extra's cover and move hospitals to a different company. too messy for me i would prefer it all under 1 roof. (especially to save only $10/year)

Also i have a friend who is a chiropractor, (yes the hot one i did a review on... ) and apparently AHM gives you quite a substantial rebate in comparison to other health funds.

Ps they are always doing refer a friend promo! Currently it's $200 if your friend signs up for Hospitals and extra's or $50 if they sign up for just hospital or just extra's.

So if you are thinking of signing up I'm happy to share the referrers bonus with you. Just comment below and I can give you my member number. :D

i joined ahm because they were cheaper than what it was for me than it was with bupa and less waiting periods on extras cover love them totally

I recently cancelled my membership with AHM due to overly bad customer service. I had been a member previously and found the level of service to be second to none. They were fabulous. However, I had problem after problem with them this time around and had no other option but to cancel the policy & go elsewhere.

Good, friendly customer service. Never had any problems. The dental and optical care has been fantastic. I used the dentist's last week and very happy with the service they provided. Will use again.
