Situated near the pool at Southbank, this restaurant has a lovely outdoor dining area surrounded by lush vegetation. Which is also the home to some very large lace monitor lizards (i think that's what kind they are) that often come out and walk around the tables looking for food!!! At which time legs go up on chairs and the odd unsuspecting dinner lets out a scream! The staff come over and guide the lizards back towards the bushes....basically you get dinner and a show! We've been 3 time and the food has been good, we've tried pizza (Amici's special with chili), Pasta (cabonara) and the Lasagna and enjoyed it all. The coffee is good too. Prices are standard, they are in the entertainment book if you have one and you'll get 25% off.

Approximate cost: $15-20

The food is consistently good with very generous servings. Gotta love their vegetarian lasagne!! The place is always so busy on the weekends as well. The one thing that lets this place down is the poor service (or lack thereof).

The service at Amicis is outstanding. The food is consistently good, traditional Italian pizza and pasta. Is a good place for large groups. Convenient and easy to get to location in the heart of South Bank.

Really great place to have dinner. We have dined here about 3 or 4 times now and have never been disappointed. We have never booked but have arrived for an early dinner and usually get a table but have to be finished by 7pm or so (which is fine by us). Really HUGE portions, really nice options available, though I wish there was just a few more vegetarian options.

This place, although it doesnt look it straight away, has HEAPS of tables, so it does get quite full and noisy sometimes, but they have a lot of waiters/waitresses so you're never waiting too long. The food is delicious and quite cheap (I usually share a $18 pizza with my mum and were both full after it). One problem is, you have to get your own water jug and glasses from the front counter, and they are very high up, mum couldnt reach them!

Approximate cost: $20-30

food was great tasting, especially the garlic bread. The service is fast and friendly. Very popular restuarant so if you are going on a fri / sat night recommend to book.

Approximate cost: $15
