Newcastle Animal Emergency Centre is a great after hours vet and emergency. I would recommend it to any one as a vet Emergency centre.

very caring but always professional. I had to wait and they were mindful & apologetic. kept me informed. I felt they were doing the best for my dog especially when we weren't sure of the problem.

My puppy became ill late at night. I called & spoke to very pleasant girl who told me to bring him straight over. When I arrived he was seen straight away. The nurses we dealt with were warm & caring. The vet we saw was genuine & extremely caring & empathetic with us & our puppy even more so when I became distressed. Everything was clearly explained to us including our treatment options & cost. I felt completely confident that he would be looked after as he had to stay overnight. It was a bit pricey but that is to be expected with after hours care & as he is very precious to our family it was more important to us that we felt he would be looked after by people who genuinely cared about him. I picked up a much brighter puppy the next morning along with a very comprehensive record of treatment which was also faxed to my regular vet. Thank you so much for the care you showed us. Although I hope there is no need, I would return to & highly recommend NAEC

The nurses and vets were extremely helpful and did a fantastic job of looking after my dog and nursing him back from an extremely painful and life threatening attack of pancreatitis. The vets explained all the possible treatments and outcomes, and recommended the best options. Price was a bit more than I expected, which I suppose is what you would expect for after hours emergency care.

Overall I could'nt fault their service or the care they provided for my boy.

We took our cat in one night due to her being decidedly off colour all day and not looking especially well. Fearing something like a snake bite, we felt she needed to be seen ASAP. The nurses were lovely and really took care of her when we got there, and despite the wait we were generally kept up to date on when we would be seen. My disappointment comes from the Vet himself. He could give no actual diagnosis, which is fine, it's not always a simple answer, but the proposed treatment plan smacked of praying on vulnerable people. We were not offered one simple test to try to establish which treatment our pet should receive, we were instead given a quote for over $1200 for various tests to see what might be wrong with our cat. The way it was presented to us was in the tone of a salesman, and did not exactly fill us with confidence in the expertise of said vet. Factor in nearly $200 for an appointment and I can't say I was satisfied with the experience. In an emergency I would perhaps return because I don't know of another place offering the after hours service, but I would not recommend this place to anybody if they wish to feel like the vet cares about their pet. Not good enough.

Very professional, passionate and caring staff. Always good to have that backup late at night. Prices are what you would expect from an after hours veterinary clinic, but well spent for my pets!

They took care of my old dog which had heart disease late one night, couldnt have asked for a better team to look after my girl. They really made the situtation alittle better and i felt like they explained everything is detail.

I had to take my cat in with a tick one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped to calm me down and save my cat.

My dog had swallowed rat bait, these guys were flat out but had no problems attending to all emergency's this night in a timely, courteous manner.
