While waiting for my order of fried fish I watched the lady working the grill prepare 2 hamburgers. On both occasions she reach down and picked up raw hamburger patties with her bare hands and pressed them down on the grill. While the patties cooked she went about laying out the bread rolls etc. She applied cheese slices and tomato with her bare hands and then lettuce with tongs. She then pressed it down with her hands then applied the cooked burger and bread roll lid. She the pressed the whole lot down again with the same bare hands used to handle the raw meat earlier. In between preparing the 2 burgers the same lady picked up a piece of raw fish and placed it on the grill with her bare hands.
I can see serious cross contamination issues here.

good service and price but a disappointingly average (at best) meal of this kind. Much better can be had at many other places around Ballarat

had a very nice piece of fish from here it smelled yum and was cooked perfect as well good size bit of fish as well neat clean little shop with fast friendly service as well very nice fish shop

I bought fish from this store,the fish was very fresh and have a good smell,they cut fish well and very fast ,the price was very reasonable and it has a good variety

Great place for a souvlaki, nicely marinated chicken , fresh salad (You actually watch the person cutting up the tomato). Best hang over cure at $7 which is cheaper than most fish and chip shop souvlaki places. I nice and clean store, staff friendly. Get your food and take a short drive and eat it at Wendouree Lake!

great fish n chip shop , very friendly people , very fast and they know what they are doing , old style freshly cut chips , not frozen , great potato cakes , very nice fish , one of the best fish shops in town
