Great cafe- good service, excellent coffee (I'm fussy!), and a pretty good atmosphere. What more could you want?

A little surprise in South Melbourne. Aribar is not a bar really it's a restaurant, and a fantatsic one at that. Great italian food, great service and a lovely dining experience. It's open for breakfasts and lunch most days and Friday nights.

Went or lunch to the arkibar on a weekday. Mains were outstanding, fish - yum, and they know how to make a pasta and a soy chai latte. Sat outisde and watched all the Army guys go by (barracks across the road), very nice ambience, nice place.

The Arkibar is a favourite amongst the suited professionals of South Melbourne. The food is classic Italian- full flavoured, varied in choice and portions just enough to fill you up. The specialis list is just as comprehensive as the actual menu itself. Be sure to try one of the many pastas on offer, as none will dissapoint. The Arkibar is also available for breakfast - with the standard fair, but with certain unique items.

Be sure to make a reservation if you're heading down at lunch time to avoid fighting to get a table with the regular corporates.
