Was closed and changing to Red Peppa when i went, which annoyed me because I had an entertainment voucher and they would only let us get half price off one main meal instead of one free.

We tried this venue as I other people on WOW had said that they great food and service and rated it highly. The service was good, and the meals arrived promptly. After seeing such high ratings we ordered the avocado chicken. The meal was huge with a chicken breast coated with a white wine sauce over a bed of chips and veggies. The sauce was a little bland but overall the food was fairly good. It needed a fair amount of seasoning as it lacked in flavour. I was also a bit put off by the food as the person cooking it in the kitchen had a nasty cough and kept coughing quite heavily while cooking.

We decided to visit here after reading the previous two reviews on womow. It was great to try somewhere new and what a great place! Service was astounding, one of the best experiences I have had. The waitress we had was incredibly attentive, we did not want for anything at any time. Excellent array of meals to choose from, I took previous advice and had the Assunta's pasta which was great. Other meals tried were the chicken ceaser salad, chicken polo and lamb souvlaki - all were enjoyed. Great value in the herb bread cob for entre too. Venue was comfy and bright. Big fan of the after dinner mints that came with the bill. Will definately be visiting here in the future. Top notch experience.

My wife and I went out in Ballarat for dinner with nowhere in particular in mind, we came accross Assunta's with no idea of what to expect. The venue is a contemporary and intimate place, with a good atmosphere and great background music. The waitress was fantastic. The menu is one of the best around, it was hard to decide which meal to order. The Prices aren't over the top, I always check the chicken parma price to rate against other places and it was $18. I had the chicken advocado and it was great. My wife tried the Assunta's Penne and she was very impressed. This is now a place that I know I will go to again and again. It's great!

Last night I went to Assunta's for dinner and really enjoyed it. The tables were nicely spread out, with couches at the front and a courtyard out of the back. The background music was great with Sarah Blasko and Kate Miler-Heidke cds with relaxing chlled out sound. The service was good with minimal wait for drinks or meals and checking that everything was nice. The menu is quite extensive and it was hard to choose a dish. There was meals to share, risotto, pizza, pasta, steak, wok dishes and chicken dishes. I chose penne with sweet potato, pumpkin, chicken, spinach in a cream sauce. It was sensational.
