This place just was not my bag. I had the quesadillas - portions I thought were small - food meh. Ambiance, seedy even in the middle of the day (came here for lunch). To me the decor looked like a wartime bunker (it's at the very base of a building, somewhat sunken) not a nice bar in the year 2013 - I expect more. Would not recommend it for lunches however maybe to bring a date late at night.. But I think the website portrays the servings/ menu and room itself quite accurately so check it out. It's just bleh!. I can't see what the fuss is about

Hi Baybigurl, from what you have described, this place doesnâ??t sound particularly noteworthy. Given the ease (and minimal expense) with which Mexican food can be turned out, there is no excuse for small (and flavourless) portions. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

This place has such a good vibe. Comfort food (duck ragout is the best!) - well done! MUST TRY! Friendly service every time me and my brother pay a visit. Good value for food! Fantastic customer service too .. Recommend this place!

Great bar for friday night drinks and great restaurant to go to during the week for lunch. The staff here are lovely and very informative. You can sit here with a wine and a bowl of chips or go for something more substantial. The burger and Chicken fajitas are a must. Nice wine selection. Great vibe.

On Lt Bourke St in the Spencer St end of town, the location of this bar is nothing to rave about. However, as there had been good reviews of this bar, we decided to check it out. It is intimate and the accompanying food is good. But all things considered, it is pricey. Not a stand out. Probably wouldn't return especially unless in that part of town already.

Great, intimate little restaurant/bar near Southern Cross station. Food is great - bistro style meals cooked skillfully and quickly. Staff are lovely. My only suggestion for improvement would be vegie options on the menu and maybe a bigger range of prices. I'd like to go there for lunch more often but I just cant justify a $20 main for lunch too often.

Approximate cost: $20
