Excellent food. The tiramisu is to die for! Great value for money - always busy so perhaps book a table ahead if you plan to eat in.

Approximate cost: $10

No bookings. Grab a menu, find a table, and don't you dare order till you do!

Awesome gelato - I've had it plenty of times, and last time I ate in and the pasta was delicious. Lots of seating available (but it was all full anyway!)

The gelato here is pretty good be prepared for a line up though. They do great coffee and takeaway pastas. I would recommend take away as eat in is nothing flash and staff can be abrupt.

Coffee with attitude! The staff here are very authentic. Food is quite good - nothing amazing, but it's one of the cheaper places on Norton St. The gelato here is also one of the best in Leichhardt, now that De Luca has shut their doors (how sad :-(). Oh, and their cannoli is awesome!

Approximate cost: $15

I love Bar Italia and get takeaway from here at least a couple of times a month.

The pasta is always delicious and you just can't beat the prices. The restaurant itself is very plain and you need to find yourself a table before you line up and order your food. However, go for the food - not the ambiance.

Service can be a little abrupt sometimes, but again, its all about the food so don't let it bother you!

Approximate cost: $12-16

The best thing about bar Italia has got to be the value. A decent sized main will cost between $9 and $15 dollars, and won't leave your stomach rumbling. Whilst the food is a bit on the ordinary side, I highly recommend the Gelato and Coffee, as this is probably the best place on Norton st for both. Don't expect too many smiles from the staff though.

Approximate cost: $11
