A gorgeous new(ish) wine bar in Darlinghurst that is doing everything right - fantastic drinks, nibblies, location, decor, service etc etc etc. And they have a great 'bring your own food' option where you can bring in or order takeaway from somewhere nearby (there are a few great options right outside the door) and they'll give you all the crockery you need so you can enjoy your food in style in their gorgeous bar with their delicious drinks! Wholeheartedly recommended. Can't wait to take another group of friends there for a catch up.

LOVE this place, such a fabulous home for quality live music in Sydney, and 6 nights a week! They get a reliably fantastic lineup of musicians at 505, including some really rather spectacular shows, and it's all such good value too. The venue itself is great, really warm and cozy, good food and drinks, friendly staff, friendly crowd - lots of regulars I suspect. Highly highly recommended.

Gorgeous little place, the decor is wonderful with obviously a lot of thought having been put into it. Food and drinks are delicious, had a great time each time I've visited. All this comes at a price though, mind - it's not the sort of place I'd visit regularly but for a special occasion, quite a treat.

This review is for Le Pain Quotidien, Sydney NSW

I had to come and leave a review for Le Pain Quotidien because it was by far the best service I've ever had on a voucher deal. I went with a Groupon voucher but was treated just as well as if I were a regular guest (and that is way better than at your average cafe too). This service stood out so much and I was hugely appreciative of it. I will definitely be going back.

Approximate cost: $pastries $4-6, BOWLS of coffee $4.75

Love this place. Go for happy hour for 2-for-1 cocktails, they're delicious and have some yum variations on good themes as well as the classics. Lots of different spaces, I like the outside area out the back the best, great for catching up with friends after work or uni. The tapas is yum too, a bit on the pricey side though - I prefer to come just for happy hour cocktails :) Trivia on a Monday night is good here too.

Approximate cost: $15 for 2 cocktails at happy hour

This review is for The Crepe & Coffee Co, Redfern NSW

The crepes are yum, sure, but I just can't help baulking a little at the prices... Would really appreciate having at least a couple of cheaper options on the menu, but if this isn't an issue for you, then for sure it's worth a visit. Good crepes (sweet and savoury options), waffles etc. and a steady stream of customers coming for the coffees says more than my words could.

Came here for brunch on the weekend, it was super busy, but you can understand why. Delicious food (the big breakfasts are amazing) with a nice environment. Great vegetarian options. Recommended, as long as you don't mind waiting... grab a takeaway coffee while you wait in the queue outside for a table. The swarms of regulars seem to think it's worth the wait!

Arguable the best pies in town... Pie Tin gets crowded at lunch time but you shouldn't have to wait too long for chair space at the big communal table. Pies are incredible - different range every day but the classics are always there. Love my beef and mushroom pie but really they all look good - never met anyone to be unhappy with their Pie Tin pie! Make it a meal ("pie plate") by adding chips or hot/cold sides (the kumera mash and homestyle baked beans are almost better than the pie itself) and good luck finding room to fit in one of those sweet pies afterwards!

Approximate cost: $11-12 pie plate

This review is for Clipper Coffee, Glebe NSW

Good old Clipper - very popular with the uni crowd and deservedly so. Love coming here for breakfast or coffee between classes, a great place to meet up with friends. Food's delicious (especially all the baked egg dishes for brekky and the avocado toast), coffee's good, staff are friendly, deco is super cute - I'm happy :)

Approximate cost: $7-15

This review is for Bronze Kiosk, Mona Vale NSW

A really great little cafe by the beach - precisely what Mona Vale beach needed! It's always really popular, lots of families walking over from local houses or straight from the beach; kids are welcomed enthusiastically, even the odd pet outside :) The food is delicious, service is friendly, coffee is great, and prices are pretty standard for the area. No wonder everyone loves it!
