For such a busy place the food is very average. The chips are quite oily and the batter on the potato cakes is too thick. The staff are a little abrupt too.

The staff here are incredibly rude and ruined the whole experience for me. I had to wait a long time for my meal and when I asked about it the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. The food here is pretty average, I've had better fish and chips elsewhere. The chips were soggy and the oil wasn't fresh. Will not be coming back here ever again.

We had flake and chips. The fish was surprisingly nice and it was a generous size. The fish was nicely cooked and the batter was reasonably good with a bit of crunch on the edges. Unfortunately the chips were overcooked, dry and soggy and they let the quality of the meal down. I thought the oil didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. I've had better F&C and I've had worse. Overall I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps there are other foods in the shop they do well and people may like to review some of those.
