For such a busy place the food is very average. The chips are quite oily and the batter on the potato cakes is too thick. The staff are a little abrupt too.

Wonderful little hidden gem of a restaurant which has recently opened for dinner again at the weekends. The food is always delicious (with vegan and gluten free options) and the specials board is outstanding. Coffee is great and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing for a lazy breakfast or lunch catch up. There is an open fire in the winter and views out onto the extensive gardens. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous butchers with a great range. They have everything from bulk buys to individually wrapped marinaded items such as kebabs, burgers, koftas, etc that you can throw on the bbq. Best chicken fillet prices in the area.

One of our local favourites. The pizzas here are laden with toppings and take away is always ready on time and hot. Prices are excellent. There is also a little restaurant at the back of the takeout area which is extremely popular. The current owner is selling up but we are assured the new owner isn't going to change anything.

Nice little fish and chip shop with very lightly oiled food. So nice to get light vegetable oil and not heavy oils. The chips are so light and fluffy. Very chatty owners.

Very basic fish and chip shop at reasonable prices. Bit hit and miss with the potato cakes sometimes but on the whole a good chippie.

Great local toy store. They stock a good range of popular toys and there is something for every budget. It's a bit hard to get the kids out though!

The staff here are very friendly but the menu is a little limited. Good place for a quick coffee and snack. On very sunny days it can get quite stuffy in the shop as there are floor to ceiling windows on two sides.

Jennifer Ann'e Cakes has a great stock of cake supplies for the home baker with items you can't find anywhere else at good prices.

Always guaranteed a good coffee here. The staff are friendly and the food is always served quickly. There is plenty of seating and a good menu selection. One of my favourite places to catch up with friends over breakfast.
