Well I vowed never to go to their bistro again from the last time I went with my daughter, but and I express the BUT, my daughter insisted on going there again for lunch so I ended up going. Big mistake, I should have stuck to my guns.
So here is my list of complaints:
1) They didn't have any roast like they had advertised, so we ordered 3 chicken breast meals, 2 with mash and veg and 1 with potato bake and veg
2) They didn't put any potato bake on the meal I requested to have potato bake on
3) The mash potato tasted sour. I asked the staff if the mash was fresh and they guy couldn't give me a simple yes or no, just kept saying that they make the mash there. So I kept asking, is it fresh? Finally after about the 4th attempt at getting a straight answer out of him, he said that they only make it every second day. I then asked him to take the mash off the plates and replace it with the chips. He said ok and to take a seat and they will bring the meals back out to us
4) That took around 10 minutes so the food went cold
5) The chips look and tasted old, we ended up not eating most of it
6) The staff don't even smile and look like they couldn't give 2 hoots and you get the impression that you are a bother for them.
Whilst there we spoke to some of the other customers and they too were very disappointed with the food quality. This has got to be the worst meal I have ever had. Well at least my daughter now agrees that we will NEVER go there again. Why are they still in business????

my first visit to the good old cattle dog in a few years for a quick lunch in the bistro, and what a surprise.
the service, surroundings and dining choices make me want to recommend this hotel.
the lunchtime specials alone are great value and well worth the drive.
will be back

great location, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. I like to know my local is a popular venue and the friendly easy going staff keep the relaxed atmosphere going. they have had some great bands there too

My family and I have been going here for the last 2 years. We went for my husband's birthday and the new staff are not the same, Dinner is the best time to eat. The daily specials are at great low prices and worth the cost. Would recommend the weekday lunch specials.

I would not return to this pub. it is dirty. my glass and knife were dirty. The people are rude and patrons are highly intoxicated without anyone seeming to care. I did not feel safe having my child here

We booked into the hotel for our wedding night. We were upgraded to the "Bridal suite" and our out of town guests were made most welcome. There was reasonable amount of parking available. Friends have stayed at the hotel again when visiting Sydney.

friendly staff, great menu, large servings, clean environment, bistro is seperate from the main bar & poker machines, inside or outside dining,take away bottle shop & motel attached.

Every time I visit the place seems dirty and dark. the clientele are extremely noisy and the hotel is certainly not family friendly . the responsible service of alcohol does not seem to be adhered to.

Great pub meals with themed nights such as pasta, steak etc. Good value for money and for myself close to home to save the washing up. My kids are fussy eaters and have never complained about a meal at this place.
