I'v discovered Bonus Bons bakery in the past year & have totaly fallen in love with their dough nuts !
Yes, it's true.
People, if your looking for a reasonably priced, fluffy, light, tasty, non greasy dough nut - well, I strongly recommend their sugar doughnuts or cinnamon twist doughnuts. You will be delightfully suprised.
Another feature I truly enjoy is the fact you can pick up your own tongs & tray & serve yourself from their relatively large variety of take away products !
Bon Bons, keep up the good work !
May I however suggest you find a way to keep the display cabinets secure from the odd fly drawn to your many, irresistible delights.
Thank you Bon bons - you rock !

This bakery has opened in Box Hill sometime ago and another branch in Glen Waverley. It offers many Asian type of buns and breads. I love the most is the almond and red bean twist sticks and it's crunchy and light. Service at the counter is good too.
Prices are reasonable.

Approximate cost: $3.00

This is like any other Asian bakery, they do lots of savouries, cakes and what not.

Staff was very friendly, and polite.

When we were paying I was expecting around $23~25, we were billed something like 18 dollars. Now I know it's not just because things are more expensive, I've bought from a well known asian bakery just outside centro their prices are similar to what one is expected to pay in Sydney.

Never the less, was happy with the price, and was happy with the taste. We forgot to have this bad boy of a sausage thing and it went bad but everything else was quite quality for its kind. (may be exception of coconut/custard bomb: I can't remember if it was custard or coconut but I remember there was very little of the 'content')

I'd definitely be shopping here again.

I have been to this place a few times, however on my last visit, it will probably be my last! When I saw flies buzzing around inside the display cases and landing on the cakes and buns in the display, I immediately informed the cashier that the food was being contaminated. Instead of immediately taking action she continued to talk to the other assistant until I asked whether they are going to do something about it. She then casually walked over and chased the flies out of the display. I asked whether she was going to throw out the buns on display now that flies had been all over the food and she did not say anything. She just left them there and walked back to the counter. If I am going to buy bakery items from a shop I don't need the extra germs and bacteria from flies wandering all over the food! There does not seem to be any mozzie zapper or other deterrent to flies from wandering into the displays and on the food...

Approximate cost: $3

Wow only just noticed this review after leaving mine. i've been here twice, and both experiences were quite pleasant. I'm not saying it happened or not but if they really did have those flies, I think someone should have reported the authorities.

I was introduced to this place by a friend. She kept telling how good the fruit sponge cake at this place is. I told her I hate fruit cakes, but one day she brought me a piece of this cake and since then I am hooked. The cake is so light and refreshing. They use fresh fruits and creams as the filling. And the cream icing is very light and fluffy and not overly sweet.
