Bread street is an Amazing employment experience for me, Dave supports people like me with disabilities which I think is fantastic, they sell best quality breads and pastries, and they donate leftover bread to charity instead of throwing it all out also the staff are always very friendly

We discovered this family owned professionally run clean bakery few months ago. Since then enjoying the high tin loaf every Sunday morning, in Sri Lankan style. Coconut sambol+ Dhal curry. Reminds to back home wood oven bread. Exactly the same taste same finish.
Very kind and attentive staff. Now my 11year old boy goes to pick bread and something savoury for him every Sunday morning.

Bread Street is a local Icon. It is not just a bakery it is..... in a class of it's own. What this business has done for the community is so beneficial, so generous, so worthy it makes one want to pop the whole thing on the photocopier glass and press copy, infinitely.
I am proud to be an Australian whenever I share this bread with friends. So is every other family in the district.
My pick: Bread Street High Tin loaf.

Consistently great product that makes it very difficult to enjoy bread from anywhere else. Staff always helpful and friendly. Owner hands on and community minded - his business has my full support.

Firstly, I have to mention the staff are so friendly and attentive.
I always come here to buy a nice rustic loaf, partically when I have people coming over. My partner really enjoys the danishes and donuts here too.

Superb breads; love the Sourdough and Maxi Loaf; they are superb. Service is always efficient, their system of serving customers in order works really well and it is great that Bread Street supports local groups; schools - and has such a positive impact on the community. Most of all though - fabulous bread!

Big thanks to David who supplied us with a big batch of coffee scrolls, mini-muffins, cheesy bacon buns and croissants for our corporate bake sale (raising funds for medical facilities for children in S-E Asia). We barely had to ask and David did the rest, far exceeding our original hopes.

They do a great variety of breads, and their croissants and fruit twists are very yummy. The shop is often jammed with customers, but service is orderly due to their queuing cards. Definitely drop in if you're in the neighbourhood.

Great bread, lovely staff, very community spirited business. I like the pane di casa, the children buy finger buns, and for special occasions my son can have a bagel dog (hot dog wrapped in bagel dough).

There may be another Bakery as good but I promise you there is not one better!
Great range, delicious breads.
A great member of our Community - employing local students and more mature People.
Gives generously to many different local causes.
Clean and hygienic.
I've never had cause to feel disappointed in all the years they've been here.
Thanks Davis and Team

Fantastic bakery. Very generous in donating bread, hot cross buns to local kinder's and schools. Much appreciated.
Bread is second to none. Although I have moved from the area I still go out of my way to buy the lovely bread.

A great bakery that exemplifies community spirit, employing a mix of local young people and mature people, offereing great products and giving so generously to local schools and community groups. Only once in all the time this bakery has been open have I had any isse with quality - some bread donated to a school event was dry around the edges and not all the product donated could be used for a sausgae sizzle.

We've just moved into the area, found this bread shop that is a lovely walk away, good for excercise , lovely to smell the freshly baked bread. Lovely friendly service. Can't stop myself eating a slice on the walk back home!

Fantastic bread. The only wholemeal rolls in Melbourne (that I've discovered) that my children will happily eat and ask for more. Their sourdough fruit bread is amazing! Their muffins taste like they have real butter in them - so rare these days! Fantastic bakery. Love the number/letter system too; takes the stress out of being in a queue.

Good bakery, good food. A little expensive... Very different to other bakeries, more like a cafe. Unique experience, I would definitely recommend it.

Always fresh, always friendly... They even have a unique alphabetical system... no matter how empty the shop is when you enter, be sure to pick up a letter so that you don't get skipped over when you are trying to decided between all the tasty treats and the mob comes in behind you!

Approximate cost: $4.00

I have been buying my bread here for nearly 4 years now. Some days its just great. Most of the time it is fabulous! The big problem is that it is so popular, people come from from everywhere and it takes a while to get served. Every year, they donate all the bread we need for our school fair, and the sausage sizzles outside Bunnings. They never ask for anything from us. What a fantastic local baker!

This is definitely a different bakery experience, the glossy breads can primarily be a little off putting but beyond that they are very tasty, soft, and most importantly fresh, i would not frequent the store but it serves as a good treat

This is a nice bread shop and although different to Bakers and Brumby's i find it nicer. The bread although sometimes a little hard on the outside is much fresher tasting than other places. i will continue to be torn between bread shops

This is a fantastic bakery mainly because it's local and they have great tasting bread. I've been here a few times to buy bread and even some of their delicious sweet pastries. The people behind the counter are also as friendly as ever.

I really like bread street, any freshly made bread is good to have. They also make the Vegemite scrolls which are my favorite. However they don't do cheese loaf which is something i think should be in all chain bread shops. also some of their bread is really hard
